    You’re so gullible. It’s about management.
    “So how good is a good cloth mask? The best homemade cloth masks actually achieved better filtration (79 percent) than surgical masks (62 percent to 65 percent) in a peer-reviewed study at the Wake Forest Institute of Regenerative Medicine published in April. In the study, the best cloth masks were made of heavyweight quilter’s cotton with a thread count of 180 or more. Masks with even thicker thread, tightly woven like a batik, and double-layer masks with a basic cotton outer and flannel inner also proved effective”

    You were fooled by the drop outs Tucker and Hannity. That’s a big embarrassment.

    N95 masks are superior as your own link states. You and Fauci are both wrong. The difference between you and Fauci is he knows better. You are just appealing to the authority of someone who does not tell the truth.

    No. You have been fooled into wearing inferior masks even after N95 masks were available to all. More strawman. I do not consume media such as you mention.

    No, you don’t consume media…you listen to Fix News Tucker and Hannity all the other Neanderthal non science fools.
    Because cloth made masks are better for the public and can actually filter better long term. N95 cannot be washed as easily and lose their efectivness where well made cloth masks don’t. . You didn’t read the evidence did you ?

    Only if managed in a hospital setting and then, they need replacement. They aren’t as effective either for public use. I know your attention span is small, but read the entire results..

    Yes. I quoted your evidence. It agrees with me. N95 masks are superior. They are meant to be disposable. That’s one reason they are superior. Anyone can use an N95 correctly and they are readily available. I’ve been linking to sources of low priced N95’s for months. There is no reason to wear inferior cloth masks.

    Nope…n95 are NOT AS EFFECTIVE. you’re wrong. One to three use filtering is not effective. You don’t have a clue.

    Read later. Well made cloth masks filter better. The only way you can clean n95 and only three times, is to steam them. You’re laughable. You guys whine about all masks, you goin* to steam clean them ? Ha ha cloth masks ARE MORE EFFECTIVE FOR THE PUBLIC. NOTHING HAS CHANGED since fauci made the statement. NOTHING. The CDC has continued to recommend cloth masks for the public.

    N95 masks are much more effective for anyone. A mask doesn’t change its physical properties based on where it is worn. LOL

    I read your link. Here is another quote from your link.
    Both N95 and ASTM 3 masks are superior to all cloth masks.

    You probably should look for links less than a year and a half old. Here’s some misinformation from your link.
    This is very outdated/incorrect information. But we expect that from you. :)

    No, unlike the US, it cannot YET be said that everyone in Australia has had a chance to get the vaccine.

    Or they could just be anti-government Republicans. Many of the Trump crowd are. Meaning, they would not trust ANY government, State, Local, or Federal.

    Well, sure, but have you stopped to think that children under 5 account for only 5 age points (0-1, 1-2, 2-3, 2-4, and 4-5) while children over 5 are about 13 age points???? So proportionally they represent an even bigger relative risk.

    ---------

    Blesides, ike I said, the problem with these numbers are that they are ESTIMATES, not hard data. The CDC makes no secret of the fact that their flu figures are estimates. Not really cases tested for the flu, confirmed to be flu deaths, and so on. They just plot these estimates to the population based on the virulence of the influenza strains for those years and some imprecise indicators.

    The very CDC says that the risk groups are children under 5 and adults over 65. And then they come up with an ESTIMATE that doesn't differentiate that much between under 5 and above 5... but like I just said, proportionally the difference is bigger than what you are making it to be as children under 5 are only 5 categories of age while children 5 to 18 are 13 of them.

    To tell you the truth, I don't pay a lot of attention to this kind of soft data (estimates), especially given the CDC's tradition of overestimating the flu, in order to scare people into accepting the flu shot (which has an acceptance rate in the United States even lower than that of the political hot potato Covid-19).

    I do pay attention to the hard data related to Covid-19. Deaths by Covid-19, unlike some right wingers and conspiracy theorists say, are rather accurately counted. Flu death numbers are merely estimates.

    =======

    I'm glad that you're not one of those who think that Covid-19 is "just a little flu."

    =======

    You seem to focus a lot on my statement that children under 5 are the vulnerable group. One, it comes from the CDC. Two, I'm not a pediatrician; I've mentioned this, already. I'm not as up to date with stats for children. Still, like the links I've linked to have demonstrated, even though this is not my specialty and my area of expertise, I'm still generally right about it.

    TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Florida Hospital Association, the state’s leading voice for hospitals and health systems, provided the following update today on COVID-19 in the state. Statewide data is derived from the federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

    HHS Statewide COVID-19 Update:

    Current Confirmed COVID-19 Hospitalizations: 16,521

    --------------------------

    FHA Hospital Update:

    The following information is being released by the Florida Hospital Association from a survey of hospitals completed Monday, August 16, 2021. This survey reflects responses from hospitals representing 83% of Florida’s acute care hospital beds.

    • COVID-19 patients in ICU: 22.5% (steady from 8/12)
    • COVID-19 patients on ventilators: 15.1% (steady from 8/12)
    • COVID-19 patients transferred from nursing homes/long-term care: 2.5% (steady from 8/12)

    LOL, the Texas Education Agency has dropped enforcement of Governor Abbott's stupid ban on school mask mandates.
    I wonder if Florida will be next.
