What side is "my side" - you are badely mistaken if you think that "My side" has confirmed that a zygote or fetus in the early stages is a human. Huge Strawman mate.
Can't make sense of the above .. Why should a woman being raped change ? and what does murdering a baby have to do with this ?
No one asked you to .. but do feel free to give a scientific definition of what a human is - if you care not for Philosophy.
That there are rape victims that have every belief imaginable is both true AND TOTALLY IRRELEVANT. Your "punishment" is TOTAL bs. This issue is not about "punishment". You were responding to a post that described the problem with your comment. What's up with THAT? If you want to respond to my post, then respond to my post! I'm TOTALLY fine with you not getting an abortion. This issue is NOT about what YOU would do. It is about why YOU should be allowed to force your beliefs on others. What is it that gives you that right? AND, it's about the cruelty and impossibility of what you pretend exists in the real world.
Well that is just plain ignorance for you. I have been pointing to rape and incest. And, YOU come up with this CRAP about how they should "take responsibility" for that??? Besides, EVERY SINGLE METHOD of prophylaxis has a failure rate. Your argument has to be that humans shouldn't have sex unless they want children. (Which still ignores nonconsensual sex.) And, that just isn't how humans are constructed. Sorry.
Problems with this claim have been cited: - It has been pointed out that 6 weeks is not a medically supportable limitation in duration even when it is known that unprotected sex occurred. Health care providers often recommend that duration before an abortion takes place as a medically sound process. - most women take more than 6 weeks to discover that they are pregnant. - the Texas approach continues to augment the problem of finding and traveling to an abortion provider. That difficulty causes time delays. For example, most incest victims are too young to drive - they require proximate help that Texas has worked hard to eliminate. - now, Texas is threatening those needing an abortion (including rape victims and incest victims) with major lawsuits against anyone who risks helping them!!!
I never said humans should only have sex if they want a baby. When I met my wife I used condoms. She was the first person and only person I have had sex with and I waited 29 years. I did not want to deal with getting a women pregnant unless I was going to marry her and take care of any kids we had. It's called being a responsible adult. The only argument your side can keep repeating is the rape victims. I have stated I feel it's still murder. There is always people willing to adopt if the victim does not want her child. Again safe sex will reduce many abortions. Most teenagers anymore are experimenting and don't have condoms. That is the problem.
This doesn't even MATTER! You don't know who had sex forced on them. There is only one person who knows, and that is the woman that it happened to. There isn't someone handing out cards to rape victims to show to health care providers, uber drivers, friends, family, and the *******s trying to collect by suing anyone who helps, claiming "you can help me, because I'M a RAPE VICTIM".
Agreed - Fortunately for doctors who perform abortions - a zygote /Fetus for much of the pregnancy - is not a baby
That isn't accurate at all. A woman does not "get pregnant" instantly after sexual intercourse or sexual violation. That's not how pregnancy works. Didn't you learn about this in Biology class? I thought everyone was taught that until just now reading your post.
↑ YOU Matthewthf : There is rape victims who are pro life. Just because they are raped it does not mean they don't want the baby or that they see it as pubishmentml. If a women is raped she can get a abortion or choose to keep the baby. Its not hard to take a pregnancy test if raped. If it was me abortion would be banned even if rape was the cause of pregnancy.""""""""""" FoxHastings"Which PUNISHES the victims of rape.....WHY do you want to punish the victims of rape???? You want to give them a life sentence when even rapists don't get life....how appalling!!!!! It was right here: Which PUNISHES the victims of rape.....WHY do you want to punish the victims of rape???? You want to give them a life sentence when even rapists don't get life....how appalling!!!!!
And, because of how rape victims are secondarily "traumatized" by the system, most sexual assaults not only don't get reported but are many women have never disclosed that to their own doctors. There is a very serious issue with the way we address this type of violation in the US. No other crime victim has to prove they didn't ask a criminal to compromise them in some way. I believe there needs to be more training for all AMA licensed doctors to not contribute to the trauma a survivor is already experiencing.

Even when the participants are fully versed in how to use condoms, the fact is that they have an error rate. Plus, let's remember that the Christian Right has fought HARD to have kids learn about sex through experimentation with each other.
No, you just repeated IN THIS POST that people should only have sex if they want a baby. You called it "being a responsible adult". I absolutely laud you for being responsible in that way. However, the FACT is that sexual relations IS a natural part of being a human. Like other human attributes, sexual expression, need, etc., varies substantially and can be affected by learned behavior, too. But, what you are suggesting is that we should somehow change what it means to be a human being. And, that just is not going to happen. And, it absolutely is NOT going to happen due to passing laws such as those in Texas and blocking access to information and consulting concerning sexual relations and making it hard to impossible to get an abortion.
Correction: If they're willing to accept the possibility of the woman birthing a baby. P.S. It doesn't have to be a big possibility.
"Newrepublic" is a crank site, so I'm not going to bother reading it: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/new-republic/ They aren't. If abortion isn't allowed, then pre-op transgender men are also not allowed to have abortions. Men born with uteruses also aren't allowed to have abortions: So the implications here are somewhat 'sexist' to begin with: https://www.cosmopolitan.com/lifestyle/news/a36344/man-discovers-he-has-a-working-womb-and-uterus/ (Not to mention that it's physically impossible to regulate people with penises, but it is possible to do so with people who have functioning uteruses).
Not to mention that the article is "gender assuming" that anyone with a uterus is a woman (and that everyone with a penis is man), regardless of what they "identify" as (but it's not exactly a huge stretch of an assumption to begin with).
I don't .. that's the point! Some here claimed they wanted "no interference", so it's them you need to ask these questions of.
