In the latest CNN/SSRS poll, Biden comes in with a 44% approval rating to 55% disapproval rating among registered voters on his economic performance. This makes for a -9 point net approval rating. The average of all polls taken in December is quite similar with Biden at -13 points on the economy.
To put that in perspective, the average president at this point in the last 44 years (since we have been polling on the topic) had a net economic approval rating of +5 points. That means Biden's is 18 points worse than the average.

I was surprised to see an article on CNN that even touches on the train wreck of this administration. Anyway, what I would like to know is who are the 44% who think Biden is doing great with the economy? Do they not shop, buy gasoline, heat their homes etc etc

Or, are they the loyal Democrat voters who think all-things-Democrat is awesome, even when Rome is burning?

It's a pandemic. And the US is doing better now under Biden, then Trump managed when the pandemic hit.

I started a thread asking what it was that Biden approvers actually approved of that Biden was doing. Most on the left couldn't even answer the question. The best answers came from those on the right who basically said that these people only approved of Biden's performance in the areas of Biden is a Democrat and he isn't Trump. The left mostly avoided the question altogether.

 

The economy did not fail.

It was shut down. There's a difference.

You ignore the fact that Hiden's failure/refusal to close the borders has resulted in expanding the pandemic with the Delta and Omicron variants.

So did Republicans.

The train wreck was caused by Republican and Democrat governors needlessly shutting down their economies because they were too stupid to know how to use a spreadsheet and any form of communication, like phones, faxes, emails, texts and tweets.
