Before this push I would estimate that nearly everyone viewed it favorably. Personally I hate sitting down to be entertained and then realizing that I'm being propagandized. It gives me the same feeling of someone who invites me for a friendly visit and then I realize that they are trying to sell me on something. To me, it makes me view the original invitation as a lie.

I miss what Disney was.

 

I miss the way the U.S. was. After more than 3/4 of a century I have never seen the country as screwed up as it is today.

Well I've always thought it matters more how it's done than if it's done, but I haven't consumed any children's entertainment in about a decade so I have no idea if it's gotten worse or better. I've found in adult or your pg 13 stuff it can either compliment a story from a different perspective or it can take over a story and derail it.

I feel like we can find a line somewhere between having to introduce every character with a road runner like screen freeze to display their pronouns, and screaming oddly sexualized metaphors about thing being "rammed down our throat" because two men kissed on tv.

 

During the toughest of times, this country has generally seen amazing leadership ability rise out of ordinary people, just when we need it most. I'm confident this time will be the same.

Disney princesses' love interests have shifted from frogs and cat-gorillas to each other. That's corrupting the minds of children.

 

I'm no expert but you can explain it simply by saying it is progressive policy. Most people don't like progressive policy. Only progressives do. Businesses should stay away from political agendas. It can't help business but it can certainly hurt it.

 

I would say that it is more of a social agenda than a political one. If they introduce gay characters seamlessly, children will accept others who are not like them. Hell, they might actually look at the character of the person rather than see them only as who they love.

If you see the inclusion of a gay character on a Disney film as 'sexually grooming children', then we are on two very different planes of thought. Do you have children? What have/would you tell those children about gay people?

I would tell my child or anyone else that all peaceful people should be tolerated and respected. I would also tell them that the normal, natural order of the world is a man and a woman, who have a bond that can bare children and that is how the natural normal life cycle is meant to be. There is nothing necessarily wrong with not being normal , a lot of things in this world aren’t normal and are accepted. But we shouldn’t pretend that being gay is normal behavior. Tolerated and respected sure, but nope, sorry not normal.

Bit seriously what two consenting adults, whether they are straight or gay do in the privacy of their bedroom is no real concern to me. But yes,I do see a difference in heterosexuals having other than just straight sex to spice things up, and gays having any sex. To me one is perfectly normal and the other is not..
