The concern is that once a law is made to ban something, it does the exact opposite.
It was never an issue till DeSantis made it one.

I'm still not convenced this law is fulfilling its intended purpose. A purpose that was never an issue. People forget, hell was created with good intentions.

Sorry. If you have kids and are OK with a teacher talking about sex with your kid behind your back, then all I can do is wonder. And it’s not like every teacher is doing this. But it is happening. And if it’s NOT, then who cares if the bill goes through since it’s according to you not happening. No harm no foul right? Teachers shouldn't be talking about anything personal with their students unless she sees bruises all over them, or the kid says that his parents are beating him/her. I never knew my teachers first name, let alone their sexual preference or political bent. I might have known if they were married or had kids because there was a picture on the desk. WTF is the matter with these people they think they can vent to children who can’t understand these topics?

And you’re concerned over banning teachers talking with your kids about sex without you knowing? You sure you have kids because I doubt it.

As a child, I watched cartoon characters maiming and shooting each other. Funny how I somehow knew that wasn't real and knew enough not to go around hitting other kids over the head with a mallet. I saw bugs bunny dressing up as a woman...yet somehow, some way, I didn't end up being corrupted to wear women's clothes.
Now, I'm not saying I'm pro-Disney on what they are doing. In fact, I'm quite indifferent to whatever it is they are doing. Mainly because I know kids are smarter than you believe them to be.

The bills too vague and Disney has legitimate concerns regarding the banning of children's movie day in class.
The law bans all their films for no reason.
Well, maybe to satisfy bigots concerns..but then again the bill does not even do that. It's an attack on Disney plain and simple. It does not even address "grooming" concerns.

According to this law, Madigascar is banned in the class room. Poor kids. Why couldn't you people just home school, why make all the kids suffer?

 

Too bad it’s not about watching Disney movies unless they’re pornographic It’s about teachers telling kids there are 30genders or it’s OK for a 6 year old boy to think he’s a girl. Or, the teacher uses improper English and confuses the kids by referring to themselves in the plural or having talks about their weekend escapades on swinging gay cruises. These teachers just have to tell the parents they’re going to groom them, so the parents can say NO, not acceptable and get those psychos as far away from children as possible.

It 100% targets children's entertainment, there is no mention of "pornographic" in the law. Sexualized can be kissing, staring, touching, anything with a sexual assertion.

Its a straight up authoritarian attack on children entertainment, and movie day in class. Disney has every right to fight this, about as much as McDonalds fought to have a lock on school lunches.

But maybe you are right..so show us the statistics. What were the number of convictions, arrests, firings, etc from inappropriate actions in the class room before and after the law?
I mean stats should show the laws "effectiveness". Cant have these white chicks inappropriately sexualizing our children now can we?

We were told that black people were full of it on police brutality, cause the stats didnt support their argument. Well show us the stats that support this authoritarian oversight.

 

Since it wasn’t illegal for teachers to talk about sex with kids there weren’t arrests. So why do you want teachers still talking with kids about sex behind their parents backs. There are YouTube video compilations with loads of teachers admitting they’re doing it. We have Disney execs admitting they want to groom children. Why are you for grooming kids? It doesn’t cost money. But it gives parents peace of mind. What’s your agenda?
