Do you really believe that someone right of center leaked this draft? Or, more likely, that someone left of center, leaked this draft?

This leak is a prime example of what I'm talking about.

    Let's step through this logically:
    1. Do you really think that it was someone right of center that leaked this draft?
    2. Leaking SCOTUS drafts such as this, as early in the process as it appears to have been, is in fact degrading and denigrating SCOTUS
    3. Has not SCOTUS' work been made far more difficult with this draft being leaked? Therefore this leak is degrading and denigrating institution of SCOTUS
    4. This draft was clearly leaked for political purposes, to enrage the left of center's base, for perceived political advantage
    5. The obvious conclusion is that the left of center has no qualms of degrading and denigrating institutions of government for for perceived political advantage
Seems rather straight forward and rather likely to me.

Radical statists crave authoritarianism. They demand that the United States retrogress and become red, like those below where politicians have seized control of wombs.

It will happen in backward states:

No one knows who it was, but of course its possible it was Republican, or Libertarian who are the most likely to oppose government restrictions / authoritarian approach like abortion bans.

    Or maybe they were hacked.

To you, - obviously. You are free to jump any conclusion you like. Partisan minds always assume everything good comes from their party and everything bad from the other party. There is no room in their minds for any other possibility.

If anyone denigrated the SC it was Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and Barrett who lied their guts out in the face of the Congress and in the faces of every American during their hearings.

"involved in" how? Was she one of the parties in the case? Was she arguing before the Court? I genuinely don't know what you're referring to.

Perhaps now is a good time to consider whether it wise or foolish to import all those South / Central Americans with their generally pro-life attitudes.

Democrats hope draft abortion opinion will jolt midterm elections

Yeah, this will galvanized the democrat's and independent's in the mid-terms?!!

The disclosure of a draft majority opinion that indicates the Supreme Court has voted to overturn Roe v. Wade instantly jolted Democrats from a bout of political malaise Monday night — and many hope it could change the tide of the midterm elections.

Hours after POLITICO’s reporting on the high court’s draft opinion, Democrats privately predicted that the potential decision by its five-conservative majority to repeal the landmark abortion-rights ruling would energize their base and drive up turnout in November. The party’s governors, senators and House members took to social media and the airwaves with reactions that ranged from pleas to codify Roe to emotional personal stories.

“This kind of outcome is exactly what I've been ringing alarm bells about — and this is a five alarm fire,” said Washington Sen. Patty Murray, the chamber’s No. 3 Democrat and leader of its health committee.

“The Republican-appointed Justices’ reported votes to overturn Roe v. Wade would go down as an abomination, one of the worst and most damaging decisions in modern history," Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said in a joint statement late Monday.

They said the decision would be the "greatest restriction of rights in the past fifty years."

Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-N.Y.), who leads the House Democratic Campaign Committee, called it “the central choice in the 2022 election.”

On the part in bold, we agree. That is why I have not voted for a Democrat in a long time.

how funny that your partisanship is shown even after you tried to appear high and mighty.

I derive great humor from Democrat voters like yourself; thank you

Without some specific quotes this is a baseless claim. What lies, specifically, do you believe Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett told? No vague assertions here please, they're not credible. Be specific. On such and such a date, Justice so-and-so said "_______".

The fascist left wants to make everything run by the feds, instead of the states. We have never been so close to actual fascism than under the lefts leadership. Hell they even know have a ministry of truth.

Sorry, but trying to make it about me it pretty weak.

These justices lied in our face, and pointing it out is not partisan, but trying to defend it certainly is. At least Susan Collins says it as it is, because they sat in her office and lied in her face too. Does that make her a partisan Democrat too? She is Republican in case you didn't know.

I'm fine with having abortion decided State by State, but having known liars in Supreme Court (not one, but three) is a cause for concern. How can anyone trust them to make an honest ruling again.

Authoritarianism is not unique to any political party.

Currently, authoritarians are festering in the GOP. Besides seizing control of wombs, politicians dictating to private businesses, educators, medical professionals, local authorities, and other in Florida is the most egregious example.

I think you're imagining hearing things that weren't said. No explicit promise to uphold Roe was made.

They lied about their stance on abortion when they were being confirmed in the Congress, and they lied to Susan Collins in her office about the same issue. All of them said abortion was settled issue, and "precedent over precedent". Gorsuch called it the "law of the land" and he would not touch it because he respects the law of the land.

As a matter of fact is sounds like Collins would even not have voted for Kavanaugh if he has not lied to her about the abortion issue. They lied to get the job. Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) seems to be feeling the same way.

Susan Collins: Draft Supreme Court Abortion Opinion ‘Completely Inconsistent’ With What Gorsuch, Kavanaugh Said During Confirmation
    https://www.forbes.com/sites/annaka...ugh-said-during-confirmation/?sh=277a38d92079
Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said Tuesday that a leaked draft of a Supreme Court decision that would overturn Roe v. Wade is “completely inconsistent” with what Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh said during their hearings and meeting with her during the confirmation process

When asked if she was misled by Gorsuch and Kavanuagh, Collins told reporters her “statement speaks for itself,”

Collins, a centrist who supports abortion rights, voted for Kavanaugh’s confirmation in 2018, but said in an interview on CNN at the time she did “not believe that Brett Kavanaugh will overturn Roe v. Wade.”

Collins also told the Washington Post in 2018 that Kavanaugh told her he views Roe as “settled law.”

Gorsuch said he accept Row and Wade as the law of the land as well as the argument that fetus is not a person for purposes of the Fourteenth Amendment

Gorsuch: Roe v. Wade Is the 'Law of the Land'
    https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2017/03/neil-gorsuch-confirmation-hearing/520425/
“Senator, as the book explains, the Supreme Court of the United States has held in Roe v. Wade that a fetus is not a person for purposes of the Fourteenth Amendment, and the book explains that,” Gorsuch replied.

“Do you accept that?” Durbin asked. “That’s the law of the land,” Gorsuch answered. “I accept the law of the land, senator, yes.”

23 states would ban abortions if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade. Here’s a state-by-state look at access in a post-Roe America.

An NBC News analysis of Center for Reproductive Rights data shows that abortion would immediately be banned in 23 states and territories if Roe v. Wade is overturned, with "trigger laws" on the books in 13 of those states. Use our map to see which states would ban, restrict or protect abortion access in a

We'll have to have a chat with Alaska, Montana and Iowa about this. Thanks for the tip.
