Yeah, yeah, the link is to WUWT, However this isn't an esoteric study - the guy downloads data sets, plots them and runs a lease squares linear regression on the data. Interesting, at the very lease. Again, this ISN'T a peer-reviewed paper reporting some new theory - it's at most sophomore year fiddling. Interesting the author also mentions an early this century pause.
It is a revealing way to show how CO2 doesn't continue the warming trend and yes there was an even longer pause/cooling trend earlier too. LINK Can you spot the TWO El-Nino's in the chart that causes all of the warming since 1996?
What exactly is this chart showing? If it is a chart showing the change in the mean temperature, it shows that the mean temperature has increased pretty much constantly, but that the rate of the increase has been fluctuating. The way i read the chart is that 0 would mean no change, and the line almost never falls below 0, which means it is just a confusing way of showing that the temperature has been continuously increasing for the time covered by the chart.
No, i'm just looking at the data in the chart posted in the OP. Does the chart show something other than the mean change in temperature?
The title states that it is the mean change in temperature. That would mean that what the chart actually shows in that there has been a steady increase in the global temperature pretty much the entire time period covered by the chart. Anything higher than 0 is an increase. Even if the line goes from .3 down to .1, that is still indicative of an increase in the mean global temperature. It shows that the rate of increase has fluctuated, but that there is a steady increase. I am not sure how one is to conclude that is shows any type of pause in global warming.
The rate of global warming predicted by IPCC in 1990 is simply not occurring. Nothing like. In 1990 IPCC predicted warming equivalent to 0.34 K/decade in the period to 2030. We are now almost a third of a century after that prediction, and the observed warming is not the 1.1 K that ought to have occurred by now but just 0.45 K.
Yes, so anytime the change is positive, that means the temperature is increasing. So even if it goes from .3 to .1, that means the temperature is increasing. The rate of increase fluctuates, but it is almost always increasing during the time period on that chart.
I can read the chart. Why do I need someone else to explain the data. can you explain what I am misinterpreting about the chart?
Maybe the AUTHOR of that chart you continually make clear you don't understand it and apparently you are TOO lazy or scared to read what the author said about the chart he created.
The chart doesn’t show what the thread title is claiming it shows. Maybe you should look at data yourself instead of just looking for a headline that supports what you want to be true.
This is what happens when people ignore the article (Not read it) yet think they know what it and the chart say which is why you remain ignorant.
NO, the chart shows ZERO warming trend on it since 2014, 0.00 C The article explains why he made the claim which you still haven't read.
Not really you are making a bogus argument since the article which you remain terrified of doesn't support your wild guesses.
yea, i read the article, the writer has an agenda. He is misrepresenting the data shown in the chart. You aren't making any effort to analyze the data on your own.
Actually, YOU never made a case of alleged misrepresentation, and you still show no evidence that you read the article since you haven't pointed out anything in detail. The chart that so baffles you is being misread by you and a few others in the comment section and my own chart at POST 2 you completely ignore supports the chart in question. Worst of all he starts in July 2022 and goes backwards until there is warming again while you and many others read from left to right which is why you are so confused.
