There never were nuclear weapons there. GWB conned the US and tried the pull in all other western countries in starting a war in Iraq. Most totally disagreed from the start. So you go back gnawing on your "freedom fries".

 

It was a massive hoax. Seriously... The US claimed there were even mobile antrax labs, like they were doing a national breaking bad series. They never had actual prove of anything. They just said they had it.

And the US track record is abysmal. You might recall that the US army left their last base Bagram in the middle of the night. Bagram was their torture HQ where people were tied to the ceiling and beaten up by hand till they died. It all falls in a wide patter of violent abuse like it happened in Abu Graib and Gitmo. The US army always by default give those people caught just a slap on the wrist. That's what the US army stands for.

It's a strategy used by militaries to cripple the enemies ability to wage war. As for the atomic bombs dropped in Japan, they had only one purpose and that was to terrorize the Japanese people into surrendering. They had no military target and only due to the size of the explosion did they take out infrastructure. And just one of these bombs was a very terrifying experience for the civilian population.

 

The thing that sets this apart is the use of war to CONQUER land. That is a dangerous president of which we need to not allow and set a message to the rest of the world and those who we need to send a message too that this will not be tolerated.

The United States does not govern Japan. Japan governs Japan. US may have bases there but they are not declaring Japan as now part of the United States. This is not something you want to teach China and North Korea or Iran that it's "ok" to do. This needs to be met with resistance, absolutely.

 

Exactly. What he's saying is it's okay to use Nukes or any other weapons just as long as you don't 'conquer' land. Using his argument, Russia could have just nuked "the ukraine", left the borders as is, and just occupied the country until the end of time.

We know it was a Ground-to-air missile launched by Ukraine in an attempt to shoot down Russian missiles firing on civilian targets which failed to intercept and unfortunately landed in Poland causing the death of 2 Polish farmers. Issue is at rest. Put it to bed. Beating a dead horse.

 

To bad it hasn't evolved enough to where no one is at war including the US.

 

Let me be clear Bill I am not defending Putin. What he is doing is just as wrong as what the US has done in other countries. The atomic bombing of Japan was a terrorizing event for the Japanese people. It didn't target military installations or Japan's infrastructure. Both bombings were intended to terrorized the Japanese people only. No American has the moral ground to claim another country is a terrorist.

 

Russia started this war with Ukraine. Now, Ukraine is mopping up.
