Who would preclude Christian charity during this season celebrating the birth of the Savior?
One of Gods greatest expectations of us as believers is to tend to the sick, visit the prisons, feed the hungry, and otherwise act to alleviate human suffering in this sick sinful evil world. Wealthy, Pious “believers” who do not engage in these acts will find themselves with the goats instead of the sheep on judgement day.

Facts are difficult to deal with it times, one has two choices — ignore them and choose willful ignorance or accept them and revise your perspectives.

I wonder how which would make Jesus sadder. That we forgot Christmas was his birthday or that we forgot to be kind to strangers.

 

Yet that doesn’t mean all of them are Christian nor does it violate Christian values to deny entry or bus.

 

The truth is ALL the major Christian "Holidays" are recycled pagan feasts and rituals.

IF "I" knew the "true" meaning of Christmas ... why in the world would I need "YOU" to define it for me?

On a "vended" knee (is that one I bought at a machine - seems to be in keeping with the meaning of modern Christmas) or the one I was born with?

 

It isn't that giving gifts on Christmas is bad, it's not that Santa is bad or anything like that. It's that it's become overly exaggerated. Christmas, commercially
is now being treated like Black Friday or something. It's being used more or less to meet holiday sales quotas, then it is to embrace the nature of Christmas.

When you read some of these people saying "I don't want to teach my kid about Santa, because Santa's not real and i don't want my child to feel like other children got better things from Santa." That's NOT the point. The point is the magic of the whole story. The elves, the raindeers and even giving Santa cookies. It inspires the imagination.

What next, are we not going to tell children about the tooth fairy? The new generation of parents, are using parenting as a part of the liberal cultural revolution and due to that, are also becoming shitty parents who can't even inspire their kids. This upcoming generation of kids should be known as generation uninspired LOL.

 

Your bestial bifurcation is not the reference of most decent folks who recognize the humanitarian mandate of caring for immigrant families in need, but whatever evokes decency is helpful.

 

I don't see your demonization of those who espouse whatever your "liberal culture" is as consistent with the spirit of the season.

Surely, Christian charity is central to progressive policies.

 

Among internationalists, socialists, 'wanna-be' socialists, and communists, it's useful to 'morph' celebrations, holidays, and commemorations into things that align with their own agendas, or, to scold and diminish anyone who holds traditional religious or patriotic beliefs as 'racists', 'nationalists', 'religious freaks', etc., etc.

Perhaps even more destructive to a nation's religious, 'traditionalist' segment is the 'tossed-salad' we've made of all of our holidays! You see the first Halloween decorations in stores in August, and they're everywhere by Labor Day. Immediately after Labor Day, you see the first of the Christmas stuff showing up in the big-box stores, and by Halloween, all the Christmas stuff is everywhere, along with the Santa commercials on TV to remind you that you'd better start buying all this crap as soon as possible! Everything is 'marble-caked' into an indistinguishable mess, which seems to drag on and on and on....

What happened to Thanksgiving? Well, hell -- that was nothing but a bunch of racist religion-freaks who mooched free food from the Indians, and later, murdered them, destroyed their native culture, stole their land, etc., etc. But, Thanksgiving, as a holiday, was a useful 'starter-block' for the "Happy Holidays Buying Extravaganza"... which now starts with "Black Friday(s)" that begin immediately after Halloween!

One thing, however, arrives right on time -- the credit card bills in January! .

Actually Christian charity is consistent with conservatives behavior and beliefs as conservative Christians rate highest in philanthropy and the people of red states are far more generous in giving than those in blue states are.
