    My kids are all adults. They got Christmas gifts that are practical, in accordance with their age: fire extinguishers and safety triangles to keep in their cars.

    The article is simply a reporting that many Americans believe that a lot of their peers have lost the true meaning of Christmas in their lives and during the Christmas season. Judging by most of the reaction here, they are exactly right.

    do you celebrate Easter? or do you celebrate “Resurrection Sunday” or did the Pagan name stick and that is good enough for you even though you're not Pagan?

    what they are really upset about, is that not everyone that celebrates Christmas believes like them

    My Christmas is just fine the way it is thanks... and your Christmas is fine for you

    no one is forcing anyone to post on religious threads on a political site, if one does, they will get opinions from those that disagree as well as agree

    a Christian site would be better for those that want an echo chamber

    seems some wish to be selfish (scrooges) and try to make Christmas a Christian only holiday

    this is America and that will never happen - Christmas is for everyone that wants to celebrate it - peace to all and hope everyone had a great Christmas this year, no matter what they believe

    Christmas should be about bringing people together, not tearing them apart based on what they believe, Christmas is based on many different religions and beliefs all joined together, maybe some need to be visited by the ghosts of Christmas past...

    the more you read about pagan roots of Christianity, the more you start to see the truth of how it all fits together, trying to lay claim to dec 25th was only a small part of it
