I think perhaps the Russian navy can give the Chinese a run for the money. Assuming a conventional conflict I would back China. Its ships are newer, better and capable of leaving port and its crews are well trained & motivated. Russia has more experience, but that only helps if your equipment works and your crews are competent. China also has several working aircraft carriers that can actually launch functioning aircraft. Russia recently lost a fleet flagship to nation without a functional navy.

China is in the middle of the largest naval building program since WW2. They aren't yet a threat to the US, but Russia would not want to cross them.

 

So what? The Americans, the British, the Poles are also fighting in the Donbas ... But officially the USA, Britain, Poland do not recognize their participation in the war.
For example, as the American authorities say, the Saudis have blown up 9-11. Does this, according to your logic, mean that Saudi Arabia attacked the United States?

Ukraine has no army. Just like there is no economy.
Russians are fighting against NATO. All weapons, finances, ammunition, instructors, intelligence, military specialists, media cover .... etc. - all these are NATO countries.
And considering the fact that there are much fewer Russians in the combat zone (until recently there were 200 thousand Russians against 700 thousand Ukrainians (not counting the national battalions and foreign mercenaries)), I completely agree that it is not quantity that matters, but quality.
By the way, the same applies to the economy. Compare the GDP of all NATO countries and Russia's GDP.

You can do better than that here too. The British and Poles are not included in your list of countries not involved in the war but you included Georgia incorrectly. The UK and Poland don't have soldiers in Donbas but the Georgians do. Secondly, you failed to include Iran, China and North Korea which are helping the Russians. If you tailor your facts or mis-state them people will call it out.

 

It must those ghost soldiers who are killing Russian soldiers or maybe the Georgian Legion. Ukraine appears to have an excellent military with excellent leadership. I just follow the facts. I have no stake in the war like you do. There is a group of those soldiers in the U.S. presently training to use the Patriot missile system. So they appear to be well trained as well.

Be glad you aren't actually fighting NATO directly. Look what NATO is doing to the Russian military from the sidelines.

Nay on that one mate ... What the war in Ukraine has shown us is that any carrier that gets near Russia - or any other nation with modern anti ship missiles - will finds its way to the bottom.

Like your friend above .. you are missing the point of these war games in Ukraine .. Russia is fighting NATO directly for the most part .. NATO is just restricting the type and use of the weapons that it is fighting with.

The war games have gone exceedingly well .. all kinds of technology on display from a number of nations. Technology has advanced a whole lot .. but we have not seen any of it because there have been no wars where this technology has been tested since the Iraq war and that was only the US testing its stuff (which is now way old) against an inferior adversary .. we havn't had a sniff of the technology of anyone else .. .. or any of our modern stuff.

The face of war has changed ... but we did not have any idea to what extent until now... Reading Raytheon or Spunik propaganda doesn't count.
