    You're going to jail Twitter!

Indeed, in an unhinged moment at the hearing, Clay Higgins, that esteemed GOP congressman, seemed to threaten former Twitter executives with arrest, because....... well, I am not sure.

Apparently, in the mind of Higgins, they committed some crime. Not sure what it was, but something.

Note, Higgins does not have the power to arrest people.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...egations-of-censorship/ar-AA17gIt6?li=BBnb7Kz

Still, during questioning, several members of the House Oversight Committee, including Rep. Clay Higgins, R-La., were firm in their questioning of the representatives who appeared on Wednesday.

Higgins told Twitter’s former Head of Trust and Safety Yoel Roth, former chief legal officer Vijaya Gadde, former Twitter deputy counsel James Baker and Anika Collier Navaroli, a former employee at Twitter, that the bottom line was the FBI had the "Biden Crime Family" laptop for a year, knowing it was leaking and that those leaks would hurt the Biden campaign.

"You, ladies and gentlemen, interfered with the United States of America 2020 presidential election, knowingly and willingly," Higgins said. "That’s the bad news, it’s gonna get worse because this is the investigation part. Later comes the arrest part. Your attorneys are familiar with that."

The FBI rejected the characterization of an inappropriate relationship with Twitter and issued a statement in response to Higgins' comments.

"The FBI does not instruct or direct any social media company to censor an account or remove information from their platform. In carrying out its law enforcement mission, the FBI receives voluntarily provided information from these companies, when the company believes there is a serious risk of death or serious physical injury," the FBI said in a statement obtained by Fox News correspondent David Spunt.

I like how he said " Biden Crime Family" . So true, so sad.

Anywho, I wish we had our liberals back from the 60's and 70's. The ones who had a natural distrust of authority and question the government on issues. They seemed to have flipped to being pro authoritarian, which is pretty unfortunate.

The definitions of liberal, liberalism, classical liberalism, et al, have morphed and changed over the past 100 years.

Underneath it all there is an authoritarian agenda. Even though classical liberals could be principled and fair-minded most of the time back in the 60's, they were still useful to the more radical Marxist, authoritarians whose agenda was to destroy freedom and capitalism.

Today "liberals" are hostile and toxic. They are , committed to the destructive, anti-American agenda of the Marxist authoritarians of the 50's and 60's.

That is true, but the ******* has the power to say stupid things in the name of the people he represents. Makes one wonder what kind of people elect such imbeciles.

Former Twitter "Safety" Executive Yoel Roth Argues That Free Speech Is A Threat To Free Speech
    [IMG]
'The question that must always be asked when rationalizing censorship is this: Who gets to decide?'

Musk dumped 'the original Trust and Safety team after discovering disturbing inaction on child pornography on the platform, as well as collusion between Twitter team members and government officials to illegally censor specific individuals posting information contrary to the government narrative.'

'Roth attempted to justify the widespread censorship, primarily used against people with views opposing leftist positions, by suggesting that's "abusive speech." What one person sees as factual information others like Yoel Roth might treat as abusive. This is a classic authoritarian tactic - To assert that some speech is dangerous to everyone, and then declare yourself the person most qualified to determine what speech is a threat and what speech is not. '

It was classic authoritarianism, and we only now have proof of this because Musk put together $44B and bought them, and then exposed it.

'The claim by Roth that free speech is in itself a threat to free speech illustrates the twisted nature of mass censorship and the mental gymnastics required to justify violations of civil liberties. Twitter's previous management and their collusion with government agencies and politicians should act as a blaring alarm for the future of freedoms in western societies. '

'The 1st Amendment is so broad - to prevent the notion that speech management is acceptable.'

LOL, if they are testifying then they are not going to jail unless he can prove they are committing perjury, which will not happen at all. This is a typical Louisiana coon. But then again, he was, in 2007 subject to disciplinary actions and was fired, well he said resigned, for the use of unnecessary force on a suspect during an arrest warrant.

Because it appears to have continued until Musk put a stop to it and I’ve never heard of any child porn arrests based on what was going on in Twitter. Have you?

It is only a shame, that none who should feel embarrassed, by your recounting of the Ridiculous Republican Follies, appreciate your tongue-in-cheek wit, as it is savored by we who recognize foolishness, for what it is. That is the problem of presenting living lampoons, with subtle jibes; or with satires, of themselves.

A phrase I recall hearing people say quite often in the not-too-distant past was: "I disagree with everything you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

What has happened to that sentiment?

Conservatives are not against free speech, liberals are.

College campuses are hotbeds of intolerance. I don't think anyone would argue that conservatives, and especially Christians, are not welcome. They are hated and treated with complete contempt.

Make no mistake, more speech codes and banned words are coming from the priests of the woke religion.

Right, only against books, expression, science, civil rights and on and on.
Free speech is not mandating people to listen.
If they are hypocrite ******* they should not be.

Oh, without question, nearly all the censorship of the people is coming from the left, and their authoritarian woke movement. But, I want to hear what crazy people have to say. I want to hear every perspective, no matter how absurd. I, as are most people, am fully capable of filtering out the BS on my own and coming to my own conclusions. I don't need Twitter, or Facebook, or even PF deciding what people can and cannot read, or say.
