Here's something "telling"..."YOU have NEVER answered the question : How is the fetus due to rape different from a fetus due to consensual sex?""
I am not sure what valuing a person means. I am quite sure it means what you want it to mean. My values consist of things like rejection of greed, not Grasping for more than I need but helping those who don't have enough. It includes being honest, politics really being the servant of the people, advances in science and the arts equally. Now would you really not value Zuckerberg or DaVinci if they had been conceived by rape??? In fact daVinci was illegitimate. I am amazed that someone who calls himself Christian can differentiate value in a newborn baby who had no choice about the circumstances off its conception. In fact if I followed your cultural judgement, I could say Jesus was only a carpenter and of no particular social value.
Not only your own opinion but off topic. Just a lot of mishmash you are hiding behind. As you said, Jesus told Peter to AVOID violence. If you understand English. I have no idea how Christians sleep at night with a gun under the pillow ready to kill someone. It is so incongruous that it would be the subject of black humor in Europe.
Sleeping with a gun under your pillow is dangerous... and uncomfortable to boot. Much better to keep it in the closet.

No, you haven't given a sensible answer...just that you think a fetus due to rape is "different" somehow from a fetus due to consensual sex......not really an answer more of a dodge...
Scripture says "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever." He does not change." in the beginning was the Word , and the Word was with God. and the Word was God". The Old Testament is the History of man, his nature, and his interaction with God. "God is compassionate, slow to anger, and rich in love". That is Old Testament. I really do wish you would read and study for yourself. Do so with the desire for God to teach you. Do so without already making up your mind. Then when you have questions, seek out others who have done the same. God loves you and gave His life for you. Start by reading John 3-16 thru 25. Then go back and read the entire Book of John. That is the beginning.
Why don't you take your preaching and god stuff to the religion forum...... However you ARE proving that Anti-Choicer's views come from religion....something many of them deny

No, you haven't given a sensible answer...just that you think a fetus due to rape is "different" somehow from a fetus due to consensual sex......not really an answer more of a dodge... Oh, ya, the definition guy.....it was an answer, a pathetic , unscientific, "answer" from the Dark Ages
A fetus resulting from rape is NOT different from a fetus resulting from consensual sex, although the situation (pregnancy and woman) is a little bit different. This is one of the reasons I believe pregnancy resulting from rape should not be treated very differently from other pregnancies.
Because it is conceived through a heineous crime. You on the other hand, cannot give an intelligent reason why 100% don't.
FoxHastings said: ↑ ."YOU have NEVER answered the question : How is the fetus due to rape different from a fetus due to consensual sex?"" So you don't believe in rape victims being allowed to abort if they wish ? ALL abortions should be banned? Maybe you should tell your felow Anti-Choicer in here what you said : """"A fetus resulting from rape is NOT different from a fetus resulting from consensual sex""" You Antis should get on the same page
FoxHastings said: ↑ Then HOW is it "tainted" ? HOW does that "taint" the fetus? Does it have a Scarlet Letter "R" on it's forehead? Is it non-human? Is it malformed somehow? Is it possessed by the devil ? Yes, I, and many others, have....a fetus hasn't been born so it has no rights. If you think fetuses have rights do you think a fetus due to rape should have less rights than a fetus due to consensual sex? Or more?
What context? You seem to view abortion as “a human action which interrupts the natural process of gestation” as a negative act only if you ignore context. That makes it simple to be against, doesn’t it? But then what about rape or saving the life of the mother? In that context maybe it’s okay. In those contexts the woman has more right to life than the fetus, when it comes to which life to save, and in the case of rape the woman has a right to discard a pregnancy forced on her, the fetus has no rights. So it is not so simple to be against terminating a pregnancy without knowing the context. Now you may judge it is wrong outside of those cases. Again you leave out context. The big one is the right of the woman to control what happens to her body. That seems to be where the disagreement is. You hold the fetus’ right to complete its “natural process” (excepting rape) above the women’s right of bodily autonomy. It is indeed a value judgment and a personal one.
I actually didn't use that word. Ok, so you don't believe that a fetus has rights, but do you believe that a human being has rights?
Only negative in 99.99% of cases. Medical treatment is a human action which interrupts the natural process, but that's okay obviously. In that context, I believe that it's definitely okay. Not "maybe." I agree. With abortion, a woman is NOT controlling what happens to her body. Some doctor, usually a man, is digging around inside of her. She has absolutely ZERO control in that situation. Abortion is NOT an example of a woman exercising bodily autonomy.
So, your agreement that a raped woman having the right to an abortion is not an exercise in bodily autonomy?
