Russian owning the size of military they have and the nuclear war heads means that the only umbrella that can guarantee security or a fighting chance is one with the United States in it.

Russia would have to reduce it's arms.

A country like Lithuania would have no shot in defending itself even if it were backed by all the ex soviet States combined. So what you are suggesting is just unrealistic.

Russia needs to elect a governance that isn't wanting to expand.

 

Both situations feel unrealistic to me. Are we forever going to defend the sovereign integrity of the European States? Something that shall be passed down to each generational President? So while I look at it from both sides of the conflict, I look at it most importantly from an American Prospective and I want to wring my hands of this.

It would be great if there were a 'democratic' Russia, but Russia has been imperialist for more than two centuries now. Dating all the way back to the Duchy era as well as the Tsar. It took two world wars for a German Republic, and hell the first republic itself originally didn't last and that's the 'ideal' outcome, because if that was Germany there's no way in hell the Russian speaking people will go democratic on us.

Like I will literally be shocked if the Russian speaking population goes pro democracy. The best we would get is a monarchy that is willing to be less aggressive, and will look to attain the russian perceived security issues through diplomatic chains.

 

What about all the stuff that gets deleted from YouTube and other sites? Are you familiar with all of it? Do you maintain that none of the deleted stuff is true?
