The people in these communities want solutions...yet the only solutions being offered are "It's your problem, YOU fix it". The answer is obviously NOT "build more prisons" because the US has the highest incarceration rate in the industrialized world. We HAVE "built" more prisons and it's not working.

Perhaps when the O/P put up his thread there wasn't much on it. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt, okay? I know I had to go to Twitter to find out the details surrounding the shooting. Like the victims' and shooter's race. I did not read anything about the race of the victims or the shooter like we usually do from the MSM. You want to see something sickening? Someone from that party posted an image of six dead black kids on the floor in the dance studio. That's how I learned the color of their skin. Should race matter when reporting? Not unless someone wants to put a racial aspect on it, and the MSM is famous for doing such. If it's black on black shooting, they don't tell us. If it's white on black crime, they report it. If it's a white shooter, they report it. Why? Because they have an agenda that perpetuates racist, gun stereotypes on the right side of the political spectrum.

The Dadeville shooting is now in the news, but it won't be much longer and I can certainly base this on how the MSM does not make a big deal out of black on black shootings. How many from the MSM really discuss black on black gun violence in our urban areas? Probably not many because it's not on their agenda to really care about any of these shootings, unless of course the shooter is a white terrorist, a white supremacist or a white incel. In many cases, they omit the race of the shooters and the victims, but we will know the race of the shooter if the shooter happens to be white. Of course, we also know the left and a lot of the MSM has a gun grabbing agenda, so they highlight stories based on white skin color because in fact, most who are on the right were born with white skin. The perception is whites from the right are all gun owners, the real troublemakers and their guns must be removed. There is a double standard that cannot be denied as to the lies by omission the MSM tells. I think a lot of posters have raised good points about that too on this thread as to the reason why this occurs.

The United States has the highest gun ownership rate in the world. We are the ONLY country where the number of guns outnumbers the population. Our gun ownership rate is almost twice the next highest...we also have the highest fatalities by gun rate in the world. Only an idiot would not see a connection.

BTW, I have stopped voting for those that have caused the problem...I haven't voted for a Republican in years.

Sorry, but that actually is the answer. Build more prisons and fill them with violent felons rather than releasing them over and over.

We've already ran this experiment in the 90's. The country got serious about crime, because they had enough, and started locking up felons and lo and behold, crime went down! But we had to unlearn that lesson and this time, the country is a lot further from the obvious answer then we ever were in the 90's. I'm afraid attitudes like yours are going to result in a lot of grief, heartache, and sorrow as murder rates go up and up while you do your darnedest to avoid anything like a real answer.

Yes, this is how actual logic works. If the gun violence was evenly spread out over the entire state then looking at who runs the state would be relevant. But, that's not how it works. You have to look at where the violence is largely coming from and it's overwhelmingly democrat run areas and democrat voters committing the violence.

Deny facts all you want. It's the main reason nothing gets done. Democrats/lefties REFUSE to go after the real problem and that's the PEOPLE who are committing the VAST MAJORITY of the gun violence in this country.

Have the guts to deal with the real issue....for once.
