Ha...seems there might be some people who have the answer to stopping the flow of illegal drugs into the US. No one has been able to do it for many many decades but somehow someone on this forum might have the answer? If there is a person who has the answer please step forward and inform us all of this plan.

For all intents and purposes, methadone is legal because it is very easy to get a prescription for it. There does not seem to currently be a lot of clamoring for the drug amongst Heroin/Opioid addicts except for those trying to quit.

Why do you think that it being legalized would make the illegal drug trade go away?

My point was that you are not a crazy person and should be willing to consider things that might reduce the chances of such things occuring. By choosing to ignore a problem we don't solve it. You should be willing to discuss it and add something to the discussion.

 

While banning guns and using shootings for political gain is not something I agree with, I am far more concerned with gun deaths than I am with drug addicts and stupid people voluntarily taking drugs and killing themselves. We've had alcoholics drinking themselves to death for centuries. Drug addicts dying from overdoses is no different.

 

Drug use is one issue both parties get wrong. One side wants to put drug users in prison and the other is handing out crack pipes and needles. Lets not pretend dems controlled cities have the drug problem figured out.

 

That's because their goal isn't to save lives, but to disarm Americans. This places them in league with the murderers in a sense. On the one hand they murder us. Then on the other hand they call us to surrender our guns and the killing will stop, they say. For the most part, these are the same people who promote the breakdown of the family and society which is turning out these fatherless predators who are committing most of the violence. Liberal DNA is all over it.

 

It is imperative that Americans never surrender their guns..... No matter how much liberals demanded or how much progressives from other countries try to demand it of us.

 

In fairness, what should be done?
The war on drugs going back 40 yrs hasn't worked.
The prohibition on alcohol the USA had didn't work either.

So, what should be done? People are going to use drugs of all kinds. No laws can stop that.

Smuggling thru ports of entry is the #1 way drugs get in. But there's many ways it can be done.
Immigrants coming here is not typically a way they do that.

That is just the nonsense the RW talking heads present to their audience as a way to rile them up and feed them conspiracy theories.

But, it does make some people think the border is the problem. And it's the fault of 1 of the major parties in the USA.

Now, most of the drugs are smuggled thru ports of entry, so the border is a big problem. But neither side knows what to do about it.

The football being used by one of the major parties is they think a wall will stop the drugs from coming in.
Which of course, it won't, they've been fed a major lie, but believe that anyway.
