Nope no conservative is interested in reinstating slavery, that was and is innate to the socialist ideal. The difference between 1860 and today is that in 1860 they were willing to settle for Having African-Americans on the plantation today they want every one on the plantation and the government - aka those running the government to run the plantation.

Thanks for the article proving his point arrested soon to be tried by a white DA, and convicted by a mostly white jury all things that in the days of the solid south would never have happened,

Remember the black jogger that too national outrage to have anyone do anything?

It’s cute y’all think racism is less since conservatives took over the south (completely ignoring they have always been a religious conservative hell hole teetering on the brink of poverty).

And what about the living? What about the current mail ballot occupant of the Oval Office who eulogized KKK wizard Robert Byrd?

Is this man a racist defending slavery?

I am a black South Carolinian. Here’s why I support the Confederate flag
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/post...ian-heres-why-i-support-the-confederate-flag/

"Four years ago, I became a national news story after I hung a Confederate flag in my dorm room window at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. Controversy wasn’t my intention. For me and many Southerners, the flag celebrates my heritage and regional pride. One of my ancestors, Benjamin Thomas, was a black Confederate cook, and I do not want to turn my back on his service to the South. So I hang the flag in honor of his hard work and dedication to South Carolina during the Civil War."

That is not the Confederate Flag. This is the Confederate Flag.

The flag you are showing is the Battle Flag of the Northern Virginia Army. Commanded by Robert E. Lee who was against slavery. He fought for the Confederacy not because of slavery, but because he was fighting for his home State. Back then people felt more loyalty to their State than to the Federal Government. Overall he was against the war, but loved his Home more than he was against the war.

Those that fly the Virginia Battle Flag today do NOT support slavery. That is a lie spread by Democrats. They use it in their Identarian politics in order to paint the other side as being racist. The one consistency between Democrats and Republicans is that Democrats have always been about group identities whereas Republicans are more about Individualism. And before anyone does a whataboutism...yes, there are always exceptions to every rule. But over all and generally speaking Democrats are far more interested in group identities than Republicans. As back then, today Democrats would not have a platform at all if they took a stance outside of Identitarian politics. Or perhaps its better to say that their platform would more resemble Republicans if they got rid of Identitarian politics within their party.

The Confederate Flag does yes. The Virginia Battle flag, no.

I don't see anyone today supporting the Confederate flag.

Are you saying that because he is black he cannot be racist?

Do you defend people flying a swastika?

And @Kal'Stang kind of just blew your theory out of the water that it has anything to do with regional pride unless you are saying all of these people were from Virginia?

No one ever said they were bright enough to be able to discern between the two.

If you ask most southerners what a confederate flag looks like, the ones that were on Capitol Hill is what they will think of. Hell — even if you google it, it comes up like that.

No I didn't. In fact what I said reinforces it. As I stated the Virginia Battle flag, which is often mistaken today for the Confederate Flag, was flown by Robert E. Lee who fought in the Confederacy not because of slavery, but because of love for his home. IE: Regional pride. That is what the Virginia Battle flag represents to many that fly it today. Regional Pride, not slavery.

So should we remover the Stars and Stripes from public buildings, as it's a reminder of the genocide against the native Americans when the Europeans first invaded this land?

If that were the reason, Woodrow Wilson would be removed from public places.

Didn't you get the memo? Racism is only about the blacksis peoples.

Memo to black people. The word 'slave' originates from the word 'slav' / 'slov'. Slavic people. Central-Eastern Europeans. Slovenia, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia. Etc. Last time I checked they ain't black.

if one does a search for Confederate flag, we all know what comes up, and sadly many support it, including some of those on 1-6

You don't support the 1st Amendment?

If google treated liberals like it treats conservatives, if you googled Democrats it would display Marx, Lenin and hammers/sickles.
