How about I can drag you to a doctor and have the doctor euthanize you, so long as the doctor agrees. That's what this is like.
??? Are you here discussing healthcare rights without knowing ANYTHING about patient's rights today? The patient has one or more doctors who offer options and advice. The patient may accept an offered course of treatment or refuse all options. Patients in hospitals may sign themselves out and leave against doctor's advice. There are exceptions, such as cases where the patient can't make healthcare decisions for themselves. How about learning about healthcare before advocating for change?
Has the subject gone off the rails? Is anyone really discussing what the woman wants for her own body? Are we not actually discussing whether or not an abortion is the taking of a life according to law?
The laws being written have far reaching affect on women's healthcare. I know there are those who would like to turn their own (usually religious) views into laws against others, even when it damages healthcare in general. I'd also point out that diet, risky behavior, etc. can also cause fetal damage. Is that the next front on how you would choose to impose your views on women? In your view, is a fetus more important than the woman's life? Would you write laws against treating cancer in pregnant women? Would you require the woman's life to be ignored in other serious circumstance?
Who do you think you are talking to? Who says it is or isn't? Your imagination is your main problem. Such as? I repeat ....
No, the main problem here is that you think YOU can answer these questions for everyone else, and enforce your answers by the force of government. And, the laws being made have a serious impact on the healthcare of women. Over and over, I've posted articles concerning the damage to women's healthcare. You should do your research, IF on the off chance you are interested in women's healthcare.
You need to wake up and find out who you are talking to. You are so wrong that it's enough to laugh all the way home. Medical-assisted abortions were originally created for reasons concerning women's health and eventually realized that life in the womb also needed to be scrutinized but it seems obvious to me that you understand none of that.
If you knew of a mistake I made ... ... why don't you STATE it?? As for your hint, I'm talking about TODAY, not the origins of abortion.
Your mistake has been committed and expanded in so many levels that it isn't worth my time trying to extricate you. So am I. You just don't understand it.
That's absolute BS and you know it. I've cited professionals in gynecological healthcare (both individual doctors, healthcare organizations and medical education). And, now your comment is: "You just don't understand it." But, it's not just about me.
I think it's time for you to quote the part of my contribution that you disagree with. Can you do that? No, that's what I thought. You can't.
You were making claims about what I said. You need to state what you thought was a mistake. Today's laws on abortion are damaging women's healthcare. We need to start remembering that an individual has personal bodily autonomy.
I've cited the issues with women's healthcare on this thread multiple times. I haven't seen squat from you. And, you couldn't criticize what I presented.
As I keep telling you That would be a good way to find out what's what but I'm still waiting for you to provide an example. So far .... nothing from you. Not a single quote, which signifies your total and absolute surrender. So, what's it gonna' be? Still nothing or are you going to contribute something meaningful? It would be really great if you could do that but I'm not holding my breath in anticipation. Try to remember, that we are discussing "abortion".
What does any of this have to do with whether or not her medical opinion has more authority than the doctor?
