If legitimacy has been forfeited in the views of one side, then they need to gift legitiamacy back to them, until peace is achieved.

How about we oppose the killing of both Israeli and Palestinian civilians? This shouldn't be a left-right issue, it should be a human rights issue. So far, the Israeli response, which I also condemn from how over the top and irresponsible it has been, has killed over 2,300 Palestinians, and wounded over 9,000, and will only get worse in the coming days.

I am all for Israel defending itself. Their self defense during the Yom Kippur war and 6 day war was phenomenal. But this has already gone too far, and their reprisal operation has just begun. Saner minds need to take charge and de-escalate the situation.

 

It has been appropriate and reasonable. Hamas hide behind civilians and thus destroying them is impossible without civilian casualty.

As we speak, the entire muslim world is uniting against Israel. The course of action you are advocating is going to eventually cost the lives of American servicemen for another useless war.
