If she believes all is fair in love and war she should not complain when Israel starts dropping bombs and clearing out neighborhoods in Gaza. Surely there will be plenty of collateral damage. Somhow, I get that sinking feeling that someone will drop a nuke before all this is over. WWll ended with the carpet bombing of Berlin and dropping the H-Bomb on Japan. If Hezbollah gets involved with bombing Israel then it may come to the point of Israel fighting for its survival and dropping a bomb on Lebanon and Syria then going after the real culprit and supplier of terrorists IRAN.

At the end of the day even if they didn’t behead them, they murdered dozens of them. So they clearly targeted babies as well. Even if that ****ed up video I watched was from a different conflict or not it really doesn’t matter given they obviously and purposefully targeted babies.

On Oct 14 in London, Arab-British flaying Hamas flag and protesting Israel. Saturday Arab-American came out in LA to protest against Israel. What happened to those Arab-American day after Hamas attacked Israel? They didn’t think “ we all should oppose killing innocent lives” when innocent Israelis were killed?

This thread is about Tlaib not responding to specific allegations about babies being beheaded. She was ambushed and chased. She was being asked about things that apparently didn’t happen.

That makes it completely legitimate for her not to respond. It’s more than likely she had never heard of this “beheading” allegation until she was accosted and chased. Perfectly reasonable for her to think she had better get her own information before responding.

Which she did. And then she called Hamas’ actions war crimes. Do you agree with her that they were war crimes? I sure do.

 

No I don’t agree with her. Because what she said is:

She was equating blockades of the Palestinian land to the purposeful murder and kidnapping of innocent elderly, women and children including brutally murdering babies and raping and killing their family members while they forced the survivors to watch.

Do you think they’re even REMOTELY comparable?

 

I agrée with her assessment of Hamas’ actions as war crimes. I disagree that it is comparable to cutting off electricity and water and fuel.

However, I am not entirely convinced that Israel is not committing war crimes. Two wrongs don’t make a right, and just because Israelis were victims of war crimes does not give Israel free rein to commit war crimes.

Israel is completely justified to respond. But not without limits.

So short answer: I agree with part of what she says. And disagree with part.

I guess where I have a problem with it is… you seem to think when she says they’re war crimes by the Palestinians that she actually believes that. I believe that if you were to give her a lie detector test that was infallible she would fail horrendously. Because she is actually supportive of what Hamas did and doesn’t give even one tiny slight concern about those vile actions they committed or the Jewish families who have been annihilated and massacred. I think she said what Hamas did was war crimes because she was facing a censure and knew that she was about to get serious blowback if she didn’t say anything.

In fact I think that if Tlaib thought she could get away with it politically, she would justify the wholesale massacre of the Jewish population by asserting they brought it upon themselves because the ends justifies the means to people like her. And to her if the means accomplish the end result of a free Palestinian state without a Jewish one at all, she would justify any means to get there.

 

I'm afraid I can relate to your sinking feeling. On one hand, I am concerned that the Islamofascist warmongers in Iran will go too far and drag us into this war with them, but on the other hand Biden & Co. have bent over backwards to appease Tehran, which could have disastrous consequences for Israel.

Keeping a lid on this conflict is going to be a mighty tall order.
