Yes you can and in fact at this point in time you have no choice not if you are the Israelis. The whole problem with playing this as a police problem is that nobody's security is perfect. You can be right a hundred times but the one time you are wrong The body count will be unacceptably high. You can only solve the problem of today you can not fix the catastrophic policies of a hundred years ago.
Not to make sweeping generalizations. Which is, of course, my original argument. Do try to keep up….if you can.
The roots go back to the Ottoman Empire. The first Jewish settlements were at 85,000 by WW1. Year Jewish Population in Palestine 1850 - 12,000 1882 - 25,000 1900 - 50,000 1914 - 85,000 1922 - 83,794 1931 - 174,606 1936 - 384,078 1940 - 474,102 1945 - 554,000 1948 - 650,000 There was the post-WW1 rush for spoils.
Sure, but that is essentially Hamas' position as well, and there isn't going to be any kind of stable future for any of the people in that region as long as those attitude remain.
The only spoils were a chance to live in the only country in the world where the government doesn't treat you like your crap just because you're a jew.
In 2007 Israel gave The Palestinians Gaza all the Palestinians had to do was leave Israel alone and they could have Gaza. The ink was scarcely dry on the paper before the palestinians violated the agreement and they have been violating it every time they got a few hundred rockets together ever since.
We were talking about France and the UK after WW1 dividing up what they wanted and could get out of the Ottoman Empire. Those spoils. The United States has gone from being a country where Jews were "treated like crap" by government to one where Jews are reasonably safe. Jews typically see Israel as a safe haven for when they have to leave where they live. They won't give it up.
I watch PBS and BBC America, and consider them to both be a better and more balanced and thorough news source. CNN is about half self-promotions and ads and half news stories, whci are often little more than headlines. Fox is not news, it is News infotainment as I see it.
Although it is not an official organization, it is not a myth: weapons manufacturers have common interests and advisors and attorneys often shuttle from one company to another. It is precisely what President Eisenhower warned us about in the early 1950's.
War is hell, especially when you open with Crimes Against Humanity and lose. China might want to pay close attention. I suspect Israel is going to do to Hamas what Trump did to ISIS. China Says Israel Has 'Gone Beyond Self-Defense' In Response To Hamas Attack "China is a friend to both Israel and Palestine..." Yes, sure you are. 'The Chinese regime urged the Israeli government to stop its military actions in Gaza, saying Israel has "gone beyond self-defense" in response to the surprise attack by the Hamas terrorist group last week.' ISRAEL DOES SEEM TOO IMPRESSED BY THEIR 'FRIEND' CHINA'S HOT TAKE. 'Israeli foreign ministry sharply criticized Beijing's lack of condemnation for Hamas's unprecedented attack on southern Israel a week ago, killing over 1,000 civilians and capturing up to 150 more as hostages.' Weird how China seems okay with mass rape as long as the victims are Jewish or Americans. '"There was no clear and unequivocal condemnation of the terrible massacre committed by the terrorist organization Hamas against innocent civilians and the abduction of dozens of them to Gaza,” the Israeli foreign ministry said' Could it be that this how "China is great friends with Israel" is just China lying like an MSNBC 'news' reporter? War is hell, and Hell is coming to Gaza in response to Gaza's crimes against humanity. And the Jewish People will do their best to avoid collateral damage, they always do, Gazan civilians should promptly surrender and provide information to IDF forces on the locations of hostages, terrorists and weapons.
You're part of a misguided effort to delegitimize the Palestinians. There had been Arab families living inside Israel on the same land for centuries. Why should they have to leave--or leave without compensation? Where should they go?
Virtually all Jews in Israel can trace their roots in Israel to less than 150 years ago. Year Jewish Population in Palestine 1850 - 12,000 1882 - 25,000 1900 - 50,000 1914 - 85,000 1922 - 83,794 1931 - 174,606 1936 - 384,078 1940 - 474,102 1945 - 554,000 1948 - 650,000 Many Palestinians are in a similar situation, their relatives having come from elsewhere. The first inflection point came after WW1 when the UK allowed the Jewish population increase, and the second inflection point was the United Nations partitioning Palestine. By the time we got to the second inflection point, the creation and maintenance of a Jewish state was inevitable. Palestinians should have accepted the UN plan. The third inflection point was the Six Day War. Before that, the second map above was the Palestinians' for the asking. Palestinians should understand the ship on a fully sovereign Palestinian state may have sailed.
the only group of the above listed I have heard of is BLM the others seem to have a messaging problem..only lunatics know of their existence
There were very few Jews in Israel/Palestine for hundreds of years. I don't think the history before the 1800s is particularly relevant.
Geez, you're clueless. My argument is that by 1945 the UN partition was the only reasonable solution. After the Arab-Israeli War, Palestinians could have had the 1967 borders for the asking. Instead, the started and lost the Yom Kippur War. Three wars in a generation. As I said, the likelihood of a fully sovereign Palestinian state is slim to none. Israelis know they don't have to justify their state based on thousands of years ago.
