concealed carry permit was "revoked," and he said it was due to him "yelling" at Los Angeles police officers
Because of this. Again, if anyone is disliked by jurisdictional authority, it doesn't matter. This is another case where the officers went to far.

I have looked around and can't find a good description of the altercation he apparently had with the officers, but had a thought..............
No, it wasn't lonely for those smartasses out there!
What if while he was yelling or whatever at the cops, he was waving the gun around in a worrisome manner that brought his mental state, even if temporary, into question.
I know I had my guns taken by police from my home temporarily because I made the statement "sometimes I think I'd be better off dead" to an overreactionary female in an argument, and she reported it, so they showed up at my house. Funny thing was, they gave the guns to her! And when they said they wanted to see them, one was a Striker 12 and neither officer would let me hand it to them, and wanted me to unload it, which was really stupid if they thought I was a danger. I wasn't suicidal, I was asleep when they arrived, and a few days later I got them back, but if someone's mental health is deemed dangerous to themselves or others it's surprising what the authorities can do. They can take you into protective custody for 72 hours, and maybe longer with a hearing and a health professional deems you to be a danger.
Just a thought based on experience.

    If you say so.

Its never a good idea to act out against cops. I know its a VERY bad idea in Florida.

Financial? You mean fine the cops? I doubt it. I have never heard that happening. If you start fining cops, they'll start letting criminals off the hook out of fear of losing their personal savings

Yelling at California police officers? The guy was still on an adrenaline high, and the cops are so used to seeing victims they are as far away from an adrenaline high as you can get.
They expect a clean crime scene: a dead homeowner, and perps long gone, and the roach coach just pulled up...

He was carrying a gun in the first place because the California governor cooperates with cities who refuse to enforce laws.

Dying was not on this man's "To do" list today

not always for screaming insults at the cops. now if they killed a cop like two did in St Louis IIRC-yes. those who firebombed police vehicles received ridiculously low sentences. and recently Jihadist supporters caused a bunch of capitol police injuries-only one was arrested

I have asked the same question and never got an answer. I think Sigmund Freud coined a two word term that explains it -- [word starting with P] + envy.

WHAT??? He was supposed to wait until THEY fired first??? He has a right to present lethal force until he believes the lethal threat to him and his family no longer exist. He has a right to pursue his assailiants off his property and away from any place they could defend and continue their threat.
He did exactly as he should and should be commended by the mayor as an example pf what future assailants can face.

If it was up to the left, you could only start firing after they killed you.

They don't want you to be able to fire under any circumstance

Is that why people in Texas and Florida carry guns?

Of course not, and nor is is the reason in CA either, and the cops did show up at his place.

Hard to say not knowing what actually happened. Did he threaten the cops? Did the cops realize he had been charged with DUI or other disqualifying factor? Did he admit to firing at fleeing thieves (unlawful pretty much everywhere)? Was the license expired? None of the articles explain what happened, and given the sources pushing the story I think there is more to the story. We do know he was hostile towards the cops. Its curious they only took the license and not the gun.

In Florida there are many reasons which will result to your license to be revoked, although its becoming a moot point now that there is no more requirement for a license.

Someone has lost the thread. He likely saved his own life and that of his family by disregarding the danger in facing two armed criminals. If he was unarmed, the murder of him and his family would be on page A30, and if they only robbed him and raped him and his family, it would not be in the news at all.
He could have done all of this with an unregistered firearm. BTW, it is legal (last I checked) to carry a firearm on your property with out a license of any kind.
The revoking of his CC permit was simply a middle finger to a man who chose not to die that day.
(I do question his marksmanship, tho...)

lol. You say hard to say and then start opining with liberal theories ignoring the clear self defense scenario presented in the video.

If someone with a gun engages a cop with lethal force and then turns and runs, the cop, will keep shooting. Well a home owner should as well. Because if you do not, what will prevent the criminal from turning back towards you and firing a shot.

I wish there was a way for you to prove all these claims, but there isn't, because you are making it up.

Yes, but he did have it on him during his trip to the gym, which is fine since he had a license.

I think the cops had a reason to do what they did.

California does not have a "stand your ground" law. The Castle Doctrine applies. If this man had remained inside his home with his family and called the police, he would still have his permit and his gun. By firing his gun outdoors, he violated California law.
