if it weren’t for this man’s ability to be masculine enough to realize the necessary tools to protect his family he would have found him in a position of having to watch his family cower to illegally armed criminals in the confines of his own home. Oddly enough, this is the very position the state of California just put him in for defending himself, his family, and his property.

Yes, I did say masculine with full intentions because he put himself in a position he could do what a man should do and protect him and his loved ones. Without that tool he would have been reduced to anything but masculine. He would have had to beg, to possibly cry, to ask for his own safety. This man is nothing short of what every man should be and be willing to do in this position. Hats off to him. It’s a complete shame the state of California is violating his rights.

The right of self defense is reserved for the political elite.

California, he'd have been better off with a illegal firearm! At least then the homeowner would have same rights as other illegal gang bangers and border jumpers..

cops often abuse the law, why people take a knee...

need more information here to know for sure what happened, though sounds wrong based on what little we know thus far

from the video, looks like a good shoot

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12762001/LA-father-gun-firearm-permit.html

"He had previously blasted the LAPD for 'sloppy police work', including their alleged negligence in picking up casings scattered near his home as evidence."

could be retaliatory for those comments, but if they shot back at him, I can see why that would be important to him police find and document those casings

"As shots rain down, the two masked robbers scatter as one fires back at the Ricci."

the homeowner needs to file a federal lawsuit under 42 USC 1983 against any public officials who took away his license. He needs to sue them in both their official and individual capacity and sue their employing agency. that creates a conflict of interest meaning that the decision makers normally will have to obtain their own counsel.

He'll probably get his license back, but its never a good idea to berate cops who show up to help you.

I think it looks more like cops with thin skin retaliating for him critiquing them publicly, but just a guess

while I agree with that, I would need to see the cop cams on how the police treated him after his traumatic experience as well

Maybe it's just a precaution till after the situation has been reviewed, not unlike what happens when an officer fires his weapon.

This is why we oppose firearms licenses.

Actually, this is why we appose firearm licenses an bans..

Clearly, we are on our own, and if we say something our paid protection can be vindictive :cynic:

He didn't treat the police with respect. He's lucky he didn't get killed.

Unless this home owner was doing something grossly negligent like firing into his neighbors homes and endangering innocents during the shootout I see no justification for taking his weapons.

Wonder why people are blaming liberals when the guy said it was the police who revoked it.

What law? As far as I know, concealed carry is legal in California and is approved by the sheriff, not the state.
