Great thread. Merry Christmas to you and everyone else on the forum. Today, I count my blessings as to how fortunate I am to have a great family, for which the greatest worry of the day is whether everyone likes the mass of presents they'll be getting. I realize that others are not as fortunate and have to spend this time alone. The only sadness today is that I miss Christmas time in my home country, Germany, and can't be with my German part of the family. Christmas eve is the big event in Germany, and the older I get, the more I feel the homesickness on those special days, especially remembering my late parents.

But I got a generous bonus and a 3-day weekend starting at about 6:20 a.m. When I become president I will mandate that all retail establishments be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. There should be at least two days a year that everyone knows to get your stuff before the hour of closing. Oh well, I'm just complaining but in the end working tonight sure as hell beats not having a job come New Year's. There are more customers tonight than there was last night.
