Are fireworks where you are a thing tonight? Reading local Facebook pages and everyone's complaining about fireworks. ****, I'm jealous..... I want to be drinking copious amounts of alcohol and being irresponsible with fireworks right now !
Merry Christmas to folks who celebrate Christmas and Happy Holidays. Christmas gets more popular each year in Iran, but not for any religious reasons. More because many Iranians want to be connected with the rest of the world and its festivities.
Sorry to hear that you'll be working. I don't know why people feel that they HAVE to shop on Christmas say, that's the last thing I'd want to do today. That's one advantage of being in academia, everything is closed between Christmas and new year. The ONE week of the year where I can relax and spend time with the family without feeling guilty of not being productive at work. Right now, I am up early sitting in the quietness of the family room, waiting for the kids to get up so the gift giving craziness can start. Actually, now that they are teenagers, it's not quite as fun anymore as it was when they were little.
That's cool, no kids here. Good news is I just got off work and I don't return until Thursday night at 10:00 p.m. When it comes to the world of retail The show must Go on. I don't have a whole lot but I have a lot to be thankful for. An awesome girlfriend who loves me and puts up with my crap, a job and my choice of vehicles to drive, the motorcycle is fun but I would not like it to be my only vehicle for sure... Relatively good health and a fair amount of padding in the bank and a roof over my head. Good friends and family and good people here to argue with Merry Christmas to you and yours !

Absolutely!!!! Well stated QN. May I add my own wishes to everyone on here and include the mods.....who do a good job keeping this forum civil , positive and fun. (other forums, that I tested , and left behind don't come close in quality ) Have a delightful Boxing day.....but more important the VERY BEST in the NEW YEAR. A year that will bring it's own challenges and joys.
you know guns are fun and ATVs are fun and fireworks are fun.... They say alcohol raises the danger level of all of the above but if alcohol is fun.... And gunpowder and gasoline motors are fun... It only stands to reason that alcohol makes it all more fun together!!! Lol. I'm not recommending anyone do that but if you can hold your alcohol and you got good sense to begin with.... All things in moderation
