Biden got voted because of his time with Obama. Look at Obama's inauguration crowd vs Trump's. Cant even compare it. People loved Obama/Biden.

Betting odds are just that, betting odds. This far out, like most polls, they don’t mean much for Nov 2024. There’s a Pacific Ocean worth of water to pass under the bridge prior to then. Trends are important, in both the polls and your betting odds, the trend today do favor Trump. But one needs to keep in mind that this rematch is a rematch most Americans don’t want. Most Americans don’t want neither Trump nor Biden as their next president. Your betting odds that show Trump at 37% is consistent in his polling numbers in polls that include more candidates than just Trump and Biden. Although Biden’s 29% is around 6 points lower than what those polls show.

Also, what the polls show that include candidates such as RFK Jr. West, Stein, others, is 20-25% of the electorate stating they’d vote third party rather than choose between Biden and Trump. Now the trends show Trump leading Biden in both the two candidate and the multi-candidate polls. He has led in both since early October which is the same as your betting odds shows.

I’d say being in the 30’s percentage wise for both Trump and Biden shows how weak both major party candidates are. How unwanted and disliked they are by most Americans. The sad part is one or the other probably will win, we’ll end up with a disliked and unwanted president by most Americans. One that has little to no public support. Whoever wins, will have around 60% of all Americans against him. But then again, we have that today who disapprove of Biden’s overall job performance. Around the same percentage that disapproved of Trump’s job performance during his four years. Around 60% of all Americans who have a negative view of both Trump and Biden, unfavorable is the word used in the polls. I suppose the bottom line is we’re about to elect someone most Americans don’t want to become their next president and really dislike. Which means in my opinion, our two party electoral system is an utter failure.

Wait…people actually believe in polls? Have people already forgotten how all the polls showed Hillary as a sure thing in 2016??? We all know how that turned out for her, right? Big fat loss.

Actually, the same people who trained pigs to fly know how to make votes appear out of thin air. Many people just accept that.
Like those who watch a magician's illusion, and believe it's real magic- because they can't figure out how it was done. Amazing.
As Musk said- it's easy to fool people, but nearly impossible to convince them they have been fooled. Because- admitting it makes them wrong.
Denial and doubling down postpones the inevitable collision with the real consequences.... all around us right now.

“The American dream is dead with them in the office”.

I’m a go-getter, thus, from my point of view, the American dream is alive and well.

A wise response; What happened to his last projected and secured Red Wave?

However, Zorro’s sole purpose of creating this thread is to irritate the anti-Trump.

The line of thinking reminds me of Karl Marx and the insular group around him who thought that their revolution was going to happen in days. They got that idea because all they did was debate each other.

You see it on Fox News. “Trump is going to win. Biden is down in the polls and finished!”

The truth is the two are neck and neck despite Biden’s many failures. People like neither Biden nor Trump. They want somebody else. Trump has huge negatives. In the end, Biden will probably win because Trump will say something stupid and Americans, who prefer to vote Democrat unless the candidate is terrible, will choose Biden as “the safe choice.”

While I agree Trump has a lot of "baggage", most of that is trash hung on him by the left. Still, it is in the way. But putting it there, in my opinion, has done far more damage to the image of the left than it has to Trump, and that is why Trump gains in the polls with every dirty trick. Personally, I don't think Trump the man is the real problem for the left. They may think so, but they would be wrong.

This is a situation where they don't like the message, so they try to kill the messenger. The trouble with that is that because that message is hitting home with the people, it will keep coming no matter who they destroy trying to dodge it. Every time they do, they expose the immorality of their character, and smart people are going to realize such people should never be given positions of power.

I think the question of this nations survival depends on how quickly the left destroys itself, and people see through the facade they have been using all along. It's already threadbare and transparent, and more and more people seeing how morally corrupt it is.

Regardless of the politicians or party, leadership MUST operate in an environment of discipline, order and honor. Anything less, and you have the kind of mess we have now.

The time to put our foot down is now- and the place to put it is Congress, presently in an environement of chaos and incapable of keeping the nation on track and safe.
Even the members of Congress are now admitting this, but they have no idea how to fix it. It CAN be fixed. And it's coming.

If the Americans reelect Biden and give him control of both houses of Congress, they will have voted in their last competitive presidential election. The Democrats will federalize the election system and put themselves in complete control. Those who dispute this need look no further than the actions of the four Democrats on the Colorado Supreme Court and the Democrat Secretary of State in Maine. It sets a precedent that government officials can usurp the vote of the people by denying any candidate they choose from a place on the ballot.

Progressives go on and on about how Trump is a dictator want a be. Their use of the court system and state government officials to determine elections before a vote is cast proves who the real dictator want to bees are. The Democratic Party is no longer democratic.

One huge problem is that the Democrats control the education system. When you are thought from K to college that you should only vote Democrat and that Republicans are ogres, it’s hard to get people to change their vote.

People associate Biden with Obama...some righties even call him Obama's puppet. It's no wonder Dems would vote for him. Compare Trump's inauguration to Obama. How in the heck in 2020 does Trump get the 2nd most votes ever recorded? upload_2023-12-30_10-0-32.png

I'd like to see more States award ECV by Congressional District like ME and NE does, and I'm voting RFK, that's the most I can do.

As for the US being a failure; we're the longest living Democracy alive today and one of the old surviving governments alive, of any type.

I appreciate your analysis, as always. Here's something I thought you might enjoy:

24 for '24: The Numbers That Will Shape a Crucial Year

'Nikki Haley’s vote share among women in New Hampshire' she currently trails Trump by 25 points among women.

'Write-in vote share for “Joe Biden” in New Hampshire'

'Biden’s approval rating - Historically, presidents with approval ratings significantly below 50 percent have lost reelection. As of Friday, Biden’s average approval rating stood at 40.5 percent, according to RealClearPolitics.'

'Number of Donald Trump convictions before Election Day'

'The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index'

'Number of states where Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is on the ballot'

'The glut of third-party candidates is complicating the electoral math, with Kennedy holding the greatest appeal in polls so far. A super PAC supporting his candidacy is starting the qualification process with a targeted list of large and competitive states, and Kennedy’s campaign says its goal is to get him on the ballot everywhere. Kennedy, Cornel West or a potential No Labels ticket could draw enough votes to be decisive in states where they’re on the ballot.'

If no candidate gets 270, a contingent election between the top 3 ECV winners will be held in the House.

'Number of general election debates for president'

Even if Bribed Joe refuses, I'd like to see Trump debate RFK.

'Number of states visited by Biden in the final two months of the campaign'

'The Biden-Trump split among voters who dislike both Biden and Trump' One poll suggests this group is +8 Bribed Joe.

    '
Number of states with abortion ballot measures' GOP would probably do better with a 9th rather than 10th Amendment approach, using persuasion rather than law.

'Number of competitive Republican Senate primaries Montana, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin'

'Candidates on the Arizona general-election ballot for Senate'

'House districts flipped by Democrats in New York'

'Number of House retirements' currently 23/35 are Dems.

    More here. https://www.politico.com/news/2023/12/30/2024-election-numbers-00133327

It's been 15 years since voters overwhelmingly voted for a Democrat in the WH.

    15 years....

Conservatism as a political philosophy has been in decline for decades.

Weird considering that the current president and generals seem to be trying to do just that. Maybe Trump was the balance to keep them from starting wwiii?

I've referred many times to the words of this man...

Democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largesse out of the public treasure. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefit from the public treasury, with the result that democracy always collapses over a loose fiscal policy, always to be followed by a dictatorship, and then a monarchy.

    Alexander Fraser Tytler

This would tell us that if we are to continue as a free nation, people must learn from both our words and our examples, that we must each stand on our own feet, and reject the idea that others should support us, or that we can impose debt on our yet unborn descendants to make life easier today. There is a person here for each of us, with the specific purpose of making our lives successful- and it's ourselves. If each person took care of one person- everyone would be cared for, and nobody would be burdened with carrying someone else.

The nation cannot survive as parasites feeding on each other.

Based on crowd size, there is no earthly way Trump gets more votes than Obama 8 years later.

That is very true, and since it requires Congress to correct it, we can be assured of more dysfunction so long as the government is equally divided by a razor-thin margin. The GQP has assured that the only way they can win is via gerrymandered districts, voter suppression, and the EC which all but guarantees a tyranny of the minority.

Based on not being able to fill a high school gym and barely campaigning...
There is no way this mail order president got the most votes in history.

Nice straw man you made though. Too bad I never said it
