Getting sterilised is a big decision, and not an option if you plan to have kids in a few years. Engaging in sex in a committed relationship is one thing, but you can't tell someone they are not allowed to have sex unless they want to have kids. It's just not realistic. Adoption is fine, but many people want their own, biological child. If I get pregnant, I would keep the baby - assuming there was nothing badly wrong with it. If I have sex, it will be with the intention of having a baby. I will take full responsibility for my actions, no questions asked. But I will judge other women if they are not yet ready to start a family.
We have been over this many times before. You know that I have cited numerous medical experts who state that the fetus can feel pain at a minimum 17 weeks gestation...some say 6-8 weeks. Why would you risk subjecting your child to the brutal pain of dismemberment? You wouldn't do it to any animal.
Yes and just as many times you have been explained that it is irrelevant in the context of the debate. As you well know, by far, most abortions take place before the end of the first trimester. The 17 weeks thresh hold, which has not been substantiated by the scientific community, is nothing more than your usual disingenuos attempt to make a point based on a lie or false data. Why do you keep posting lies and misleading data?
One cannot help but wonder what atrocities the educational system has inflicted on the minds of Australia's youth.
irrelevant, the public at large valued the cubs more than the human offspring. BTW, the lion wasn't protecting her cubs, she was attacking prey to eat.
This is confusing in light of ALL your other posts. Now you are judging women who don;t want to start a family and choose to kill their children in utero?
What are you claiming is a lie and misleading? An abortion absolutely does dismember the child in utero. And most people absolutely would not do such a thing to a domestic animal, like a dog.
So the abortion promoters have said for many months that opposition to abortion is just a lot of emotion run a muc, now you want to get personal about the topic? Isn't that just a wee bit EXTREMELY hypocritical?
I am not judging anyone. I believe that I have no right to force my opinions on others. If a woman is ready for a child, I hope she succeeds in having one. If she is not ready, then I hope that abortion is available to her.
Yes. I would not have a disabled child. I do not want my child to be teased at school and live a less than perfect life. I want them to make friends, marry and have children and have nothing hold them back. I also do not feel I would be capable of taking care of a special needs child. The kindest thing I could do is to spare them a life of misery.
I will go back and address your concerns about disabled children later. Right now I want you to focus on the fact that you would NOT abort a healthy baby...why? Because you feel your child has value. Do you think your child would have a greater value, or more right to life then another child? Why would it be wrong to abort your healthy unborn baby...but okay for somebody else to kill their baby?
She didn't say it would be WRONG to abort her healthy fetus, she just said she wouldn't do it, however women have been known to change their minds when the circumstances warrant it. One woman places a high value on her fetus, another woman doesn't, each makes her own choice.
Not all choices are good. Some people choose to kill their birthed children...does that make that choice moral or correct? No, it does not.
Well they are often very happy people, happier than the average child. Why no let them be adopted instead of killing them heartlessly?
Parents killing children is pretty rare, and is soundly condemned and punished by our society. Abortion is not condemned or punished because there is no consensus in our society about it. Also, pragmatists realize that abortion occurs with the same frequency when it IS condemned and punished. Government does not have the ability to deal with matters inside a person's body. As far as being moral or correct, that is not a matter for government or law to deal with, morality is an individual matter.
Doesn't matter what you want. Disabled or not, your child will almost certainly be one of the teased and/or one of the teasers at some point. And just how do you propose to ensure that your child has a perfect life? Hmmmm? Then the kindest thing you can do for the next disabled child you see is to kill it. Right?
Because when I have sex, I will be prepared to have a child. I will not being having sex for any other reason than to start a family. I will place value on my child because it would be wanted. I would not judge another person for not wanting to have a baby as I do not place the same value on other children/fetuses than I would my own. My child would have as much right to life as I chose to give them. Another womans 'child' would have as much right to life as she chose to give them.
A child is more likely to be teased because they are retarded than because they have freckles. If my kid was going to blind and deaf and no be able to move, what sort of a life is that for them? It would be cruel to bring them into the world.
