Let me refresh your memory of two events you seem to have forgotten as well. The midterm elections of 2010 and special elections of Sept 2011. Voters will turn out in droves for whoever ends up on the Republican ticket. You can bank on it.

Well your post is a little non sequitor, but yes Republicans did very well in 2010, but this is really off election year, Governerships are up this year, so I am willing to wait this one out, but governerships are clearly local to the state and do not necessarily reflect national sentiments.
