Movies and TV portray life, they emulate reality. Altogether now, lets repeat this name aloud.......CHARLIE SHEEN!!!!!!!!
I think the point is that the movies and TV portray life the way the writer, director, producer, etc. see life/reality. Some folks however, seem to THINK they represent reality. This phenomena can especially be seen by the many foreigners who watch American TV and think it actually is an accurate representation of life here.
I wouldn't say every child but you are right on the money. The influence of militant feminislm has given rise to a movement where family courts support an array of cottage industries financed primarlly by men who are routinely labeled as criminal, denied rights without due process and have their income, property and children confiscated by the state to distribute amongst those who profit from this industry as well as those who often make false accusations.
Of course I think misandry is even more prevelant than misogyny. Every little boy who has been punished for not being "nice", every little boy who has heard, "You're just like your father," in a derogatory manner. And every little boy who has been punished for hitting his sister back.
+1 to this. Masculinity has become socially criminalized. Behaving in natural, healthy masculine ways (i.e. fighting, ball-busting, competition, treating girls like *gasp* GIRLS!) is now routinely referred to as "sexist," "chauvinistic," and "barbaric." Chivalry is dead. Feminism killed it. And although some will even ardently defend this as a moral conquest, it clearly hasn't brought them any peace or happiness because most of them are angrier today than they were in 1950. And every generation of boys is now growing up to be more emasculated than the last. Women today who are rightfully unhappy with the current mass of sensitive sissy boys wonder why there are no real men anymore. Take it up with the feminists. They criminalized them out of existence.
In my opinion, the game of life should not be played like the game of monopoly. Why should better heterosexual friendships be denied or disparaged, from a moral standpoint, if it could be considered more moral, and potentially more holy to learn how to appreciate each other and be better friends. Shouldn't a member of the Brotherhood of Man always be expected to be able to get along with a member of the Sisterhood of Woman, even if only as a form of brotherly or sisterly love?
If there is any ambiguity, why not consider the greater glory of our immortal souls? From one perspective, it can never be said that soul-mates cannot ever get along due to their state of perfection, hopefully. Why should better heterosexual friendships be denied or disparaged, from a moral standpoint, if it could be considered more moral, and potentially more holy to learn how to appreciate each other and be better friends. What objection can there be to trying to be more moral and potentially, more holy?
Once again, tv-Two and a Half Men, real life CHARLIE SHEEN, they are ONE and the same, identical. Anyone in another country can watch the tv show and KNOW what Charlie Sheen is like.
So Sheen is living the life of his created sit-com character....Just like some folks who watch that swill and think real folks live that way. Come on now.
I believe Mankind would be better off, and the greater glory of our immortal souls better assured, if we could go to a temple dedicated to a goddess of love, and pray for true love and perform true love rituals.
More moral, according to whose morals, YOURS? Why would anyone want to be holy? Since holy means dedicated to god and no god or gods exist, being holy is kinda stupid. However, let gays get married, it is their LEGAL right, and religion is not to interfere in legal matters.
You really do not follow any news at all do you? Charlie Sheen is a drunken, drug using, womanizer who cares about nothing but himself, just exactly like the character he portrayed in the show.
Awesome retort. She degraded women and men all in one sentence. "Do this for me." "Buy me this." "Open this for me." "Pull my chair out." Pathetic.
In my opinion, persons of Religion usually have some claim to forms of holiness and morality. You are welcome to your opinion; but, we do have a First Amendment regarding the natural right to practice religion freely. I agree with you regarding our privileges and immunities, since there is no authority delegated to our federal Congress to deny or disparage them, simply for the sake of religion.
Yeah, that's it. Call me names. Don't even stop to consider it for a second. Just shoot the messenger.
I still open doors, pull up chairs, never use vulgarity and am always a gentleman towards women, boy am I old-fashioned and glad of it.
I do not want you to strain yourself, old man. The same thing can be said about men. I am not sure why you attribute a human characteristic to one specific gender. So, you are sexist. Copy. You are covering sexism with passive-aggressive praise.
And you really don't follow a discussion very well do you? Sheen is a product of TV like so many others who let their lives be a the least influenced by the media and at the worst controlled by it.
That's pretty brutal. All he said was he is always a gentleman. What do you envision...fighting over the friggin chair?
