This article is from a few days ago, saying he's leaning towards endorsing Perry. But just now on Fox News, he stated that he IS endorsing Perry....mainly because of "flat tax" plan, which Perry will be presenting in the next day or so. Steve Forbes leaning towards supporting Rick Perry Updated: Wednesday, 19 Oct 2011, 11:38 PM EDT Published : Wednesday, 19 Oct 2011, 11:38 PM EDT BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Steve Forbes was in Boston and spoke about the 2012 Presidential race and why he's leaning towards supporting Rick Perry. "I'm obviously leaning towards Governor Perry. I talked to his people about the flat tax and I think that's the way to go," says Steve Forbes. "I think with the formal unveiling next week he'll truly be a frontrunner again and will be dominating the debate." Elect Perry and we will get the same results that we would from any oathbreaking Republicrat. We need someone to make a difference, and the only one to do that is Ron Paul.
I believe Perry will make a good difference, and will be presidential. Again, Ron Paul would be good, but he's 76, talks like daffy Duck, and he ain't got a chance! Forget Paul!
"Presidential" in todays terms is equivalent to someone lying consistently and taking a dump on the Constitution.
Weird he would endorse a candidate who often looks confused during debates. I don't know how he could possibly handle running the country.
and non presidential means ? 1.Innocent ? 2. Ignorant ? 3. Naive 4. Foolish ? 5. Congressman ? 6. Anti- establishment ? 7. Baptist ? 8. Progressive ? 9. Non specific on anything ? 10. From Texas ? 11. Change the tax..add a tax, tax more.. ?? 12. Dont mention job creation..just..Creation. 13. Must only lead from FAR right..? 14.Must hate anyone that doesn't think just like you..? or look like you..worship like you..pretend to be Non slick..ordinary.. Because that's all you are. The progressive left took over Obama's dream. Now the progressive right does the same from moderate conservatives. If you are near the middle... You're screwed.
Progressives can be both right and left.. Glenn Beck.. and here's your 9.9.9. AND flat tax BS.. Wonder why Forbes got destroyed twice ? Thanks Cain and Perry http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/19/us/politics/illegal-immigration-and-romneys-lawn-care-debated.html Not only do you DISTORT your own record ..you distort others as well. Apples and Oranges.. “Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan is a terrific example of fiscal hocus-pocus,” Edward D. Kleinbard, a law professor at the University of Southern California, writes in a coming analysis of the plan for the trade journal Tax Notes. “It is presented as a low-tax panacea, but it actually would raise the tax bills of many Americans very substantially.” Professor Kleinbard estimated that a family with $120,000 in income last year would have paid $541 less in federal taxes under Mr. Cain’s plan. A family that earned $50,000, by contrast, would have paid $4,800 more. The Tax Policy Center, a joint venture of the Urban Institute and the Brookings Institute, concluded that the plan amounted to a 25.38 percent national sales tax. Flat sales taxes fall more heavily on lower-income families, siphoning off a much larger share of their total income. End. So those that make a living knowing this stuff say something different from people selling this snake oil. But Cute apples and oranges seems so sweet and non professional. Because it is.
Yeah. It's a bad plan and Cain deserves to be hammered and not win the nomination for proposing it. Raising taxes on the poor is not okay.
No, but it's an important one given that Obama is a good debater and Perry is a poor one. Obama would clean his clock, much like Romney has so far. We need every advantage we can get against the Obama War Machine (his money and his media).
Perry needs all the endorsements he can garner as currently he's not doing well in the poles, particularly in the south among republicans. http://hotlineoncall.nationaljournal.com/archives/2011/10/no-southern-com.php
Over 90% of his congress approved the bill allowing in-state tuition rates for illegals with restrictions. If he had vetoed the bill, I would assume his congress would have overridden his veto. He believes in fences for problem areas, and more boots on the ground, and more electrical monitoring, and more drone usage. Not a bad plan compared to the others.
BD..you cant say that..he could have shown leadership and vetoed the bill on a Conservative principle that NO ILLEGALS SHOULD GET SPECIAL FAVORITISM THAT AMERICAN CITIZENS DO NOT RECEIVE. That should be an American principle held by ALL political party's.
DUH! American citizens that are residents of Texas get the same benefit! If the Mexicans living in Texas went to another state for college, they would pay non-resident fees. No difference in a sense.
