Laws against homosexuality were overturned in Lawrence v. Texas (539 US 558 ) (2003), which was a landmark United States Supreme Court case that struck down the sodomy law everywhere applicable in the US.

Jesus and God both have commanded you to love and respect your homosexual neighbors:

Matthew 22:36-40 Jesus said: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Leviticus 19:18 "Love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD."

People or classes don't have to be the "same" only "similar." Clearly you don't understand US Constitutional Law.

Equal protection can be applied only if it is appropriate. Homosexual couples and heterosexual couples are fundamentally different.

Read the 1st and 14th Amendments before posting again in the Civil-Rights section:

1st:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

16th:
"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

The most freedom loving States in the Union are Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire. Also the Washington D.C., since same-sex marriage is recognized there too. The courts there understand civil rights.

I guess the whole "Love thy neighbor" commandment doesn't apply if your neighbors are homosexual?
