      My first experience with a cop was at 8 when I was walking to school in Detroit and they were holding alley court. I got beat in the face with a rolled up newspaper because I was in the wrong place, wrong time. I know that has prejudiced me. I also work in criminal law and defend people who start off with a small offense like possession of marijuana and end up with assault on a police officer because he jerked his arm away.

      I will try to be more understanding, because I do know there are guys like you out there. It's just hard to remember that when you are every day hit with some kind of depressing story. But...you guys are out there and well done.
