A study conducted by neurologists, published in Science Magazine, documents the interesting finding that the average rat is more empathetic than the typical republican.
For everyone who has been watching the spectacle of repubs tripping over each other to proclaim their social Darwinist credentials, with each flavor-of-the-month con growing ever more extreme in their pledge to throw anyone under the bus who can't survive in their "be rich or eat (*)(*)(*)(*) and die" world, this comes as no surprise.
Now with santorum as the new poster boy of the lunatic fringe, they may have finally found their ideal man.
The cons used to call Bill Clinton a rat and they had a point.
    I have a new-found respect for rats.

Funny how an extreme liberal thinks republicans are evil and extreme conservatives think liberals are evil. Surprisingly they are both wrong. People always use the extremes of political parties as examples of the whole parties. That's just ignorant. Most people fall in or very close to the middle.

While that may or may not be the case, the primary problem is the extreme republicans control most of everybody else via corporations. That percentage of the minority, control the rest of the population simply from a standpoint of their extreme wealth, and what it allows them to do.
If the majority of folks in this country are "in the middle" as you claim, but are manipulated by the extremes (IE: right wing Mitt Romney types), what good does do to have all those middle ground folks "in the middle"? If the "middle' controlled most of their own destiny, without the manipulation of the extreme evil folks, that would be one thing but, that's not the world we live in today, is it? Therefore, the focus needs to be on getting rid of the rats that are spreading disease.

If people allow themselves to be controlled, then that is what they deserve. Case closed.

Oh and I'm sure extreme liberals have no influence at all... all big politicians are the same doesn't even matter if they call themselves republican or democrat. They ALL worship "big corporations" although more accurately its "big lobbyists". They are usually one and the same though anyway.

So, does this prove that rats are Democrats?

Good idea... the RAT should become new symbol for the Dems. Makes perfect sense.

I thought the Republicans were rats. I always wondered why they had the vote. We live and learn! :)

Which party advocates "big business" the most out of the 2 realistic choices?
Which one pisses on the less wealthy every chance they get? Which one is advocating a billionaire job slasher for POTUS?

2 realistic choices, but only 1 possibility for the "not so rich" regular Joe.

    We would welcome them proudly.
Even our name is welcoming (democRAT).
And a compassionate rat is way better than any right-winger.

I think that rats have also been unfairly stereotyped.
This study proves that they are more noble than some humans.

Reconcile the title of your thread with the fact that republicans donate more to charity than democrats, and then tell me when the neurosis wears off.

Santorum (the "epitome of conservatism/Christianity") gave 2% of his income to charity. Obama gave nearly 15%.

LOL Obama gave more to charity after he became president and was in the spot light. How much did Obama give before he was president?

Still 3-4 times what Santorum gave.

    You must feel silly.

The study is not the video. Your video is just a stupid hit piece. Your entire thread is flamebait.

I suspect that rats, if they thought about it at all, would consider Republicans vermin.

Au contraire. The video makes many very telling comparisons between the rats' altruistic and compassionate behavior traits and the right-wingers' I, me, mine approach to life.
It is a valid contrast that says a lot about the relative virtues of each group.
You are just mad that the rats come out looking better.
Those rats do us democRATS proud.
