I was interested in forums where liberal economist discuss economics. I have google it and have had no luck. If you are of the liberal persuasion, can you recommend a liberal economic forum where economics is discussed?
Why? Economics will naturally attract more 'liberals' than 'conservatives'. Most economic output isn't suited to the conservative values structure, ensuring any dissonance is avoided by filtering out such intellectualism.
Why? Because I'll like to discuss ideas with Liberals. Most forums on the net are dominated by Conservatives.
But economics discussion will lead to a greater focus on liberalism. You'll get some non-economic noise initiated by the right wing but content will automatically generate that outcome
There is a bunch of liberals in the economic discussions here: philosophyforums.com Political and economic ideas and ideologies, among others, are intelligently dissected, discussed and debated, sometimes to great lengths. It is a place for the considered and somewhat leisurely exploration of ideas. It is, after all, a philosophy forum. Non-intelligent commentary is not generally tolerated and it will get you banned fairly quickly so ranters and ravers are almost non-existent. It is not all liberals, not by a long shot but there is a lot of interesting discussion on liberal ideas in the Politics and Sociology forums.
