I'm kinda confused why anyone would defend a shooting of an unarmed kid when their life was not in danger?

    Confusing ...

Sadly, it IS black kid in a white southern neighborhood! And the murderer is a Neighborhood Watch "vigilante" who probably learned all he knows from comic books. He wasn't professional enough to have a "throw-down" gun in his sock to toss next to the kid's dead body!

The guy's whine that "the black skin TERRIFIED ME" may carry some weight that he gets charged with something light or nothing at all - because his fear was "justified" because they ALL KNOW "black teenagers are ALL criminals".

Kind of like on this board!

I would suspect they means criminals. Zimmerman was looking to be in law enforcement, so he may have dealt with the realities that often they do just get away.

It could be race as well.

In any event, it displays aggression because he went anyways when being told not to, and frustration about justice at a personal level.

I have to respectfully disagree with you here, LM, simply because I enjoy reading your stuff on here. There are plenty of security guards that do carry guns while on duty. Do you honestly believe that those guns are there just for show?

Since when are the cops 100% reliable? Cops are there to mop up crimes, not prevent them from happening. Think about it.

How do you know what actually took place during this struggle?

So......go for him....the black kid would have committed a crime eventually? Is that what you're getting at?

You don't know ANY facts in this case because the news article is obviously geared toward the fact that the poor black perpetrator was carrying Skittles in his pocket.

Let's address your "facts" here in better detail:

Did the neighborhood watchman know that the kid was unarmed? No.

Obviously, the kid was doing something that warranted a confrontation. A highly respected member of the community, the chief of the neighborhood watch of all people, elected by the community to perform security duties in their neighborhood, is just going to shoot some random black kid for the hell of it without reason or just cause? I don't think so. Something is rotten in Denmark in this incident, and I honestly don't believe that it is Zimmerman.

As most security guards are. That comes with their profession.

For what specific reason? The article simply assumes that the kid's death was racially motivated. Remember, Zimmerman offered no comment on the incident. The police are investigating the incident, and the incident is ongoing. Therefore, you have nothing to go on but some guy named Crump who called Trayvon a "nice kid". Yeah, I've known a lot of "nice" people in my life that go and do stupid crap.

Remember, Jeffery Dahmer was also referred to as a "nice guy" by his neighbors years ago. Being "nice" doesn't excuse stupid behavior in my book.

Why not? Zimmerman was the neighborhood watchman. A call was made about a "suspicious person" wandering about the neighborhood. Why not go and check him out? That was Zimmerman's friggin' JOB, after all!

    Suspicious....because he was black?

His frigg'n job is something he's paid for. This wasn't his job. This guy had S.P.S. And about two braincells to rub together.

Some people are not interested in knowing their neighbors......all some care about is there property value. I use to live in Carol Gables, Florida many years ago, and that was the mentality of a many of those people there.

    Watchman, not gunman.

    Code word: Black.

Go check him out. "Hey ni.... what are you doing in this neighborhood?" "Take your hand out of your pocket" Bam, bam.

I love your race-baiting speculation, "Brutha". Go buy a 40-ouncer and a bucket o' chicken while you're at it, Farrakhan.

    Oh, pul-lease!

No one is "elected" to neighborhood watch! NW is usually controlled by the nosiest busybody in the neighborhood who wants to get up in everybody else's business, an often wants to rid the neighborhood of undesirables!

Running around armed confronting kids is nutcase, and in NO WAY ANY PART of "Neighborhood Watch" duties.

Well, it turns out this vigilante is a dangerous lunatic, known for attacks! And the police hid it from the family when they REFUSED to arrest the murderer!

Indeed, down south, when a white gun nut kills a black kid, its ALWAYS "justifiable homicide"!

It doesn't say who started the confrontation.

    How pathetic!

If some crazed bigoted a--hole was following me in my gated community, I'd say the a--hole started the trouble.

Maybe the kid thought this stalker was a republican gay pervert trying to rape him! The kid would have been JUSTIFIED to shoot HIM!

Yes, we all start having to carry guns to protect ourselves from the Neighborhood Watch Gestapo.

A Gestapo who are not even arrested when they blow an unarmed resident away!

With all the evidence that you have against Zimmerman, in turn, Trayvon strikes me as one of these kinds of blacks:

    Thanks for making my point.

    Let's see,
    Zimmerman HAD gun!
Zimmerman said "He might get away".
Zimmerman went to chase him, AGAINST the police orders.
Zimmerman is just fine, the kid has a hole in his chest.

Yeah, your "evidence" is clear. The kid was murdered for being "black".

Now, unlike the movie that appears to run in your head when someone says "black kid", the kid did not have a gun, nor was he in a store or on Mr. Zimmerman's property.

Yet, the police and the gun nuts have pronounced his death "Justified", beyond question, since they let the murderer go free.

Do you think an innocent white kid would be randoml gunned down by a black guy?
Do you think a 911 call would have been placed about a 'suspicious' white kid?

    I doubt it.

Zimmerman needs to tell us what the hell made him think the kid was suspicious. Of course, he can't tell us the real reason, and that was the kid was black, in a white neighbourhood.
