In spite of all the obstructionism from republicans... he still managed to take a (*)(*)(*)(*)bomb handoff from republicans and make something grow... Anybody with a shred of intelligence knows that the president alone has very little effect on these numbers but people like you that dont know any better... and there are plenty... will attribute these positive numbers directly to Obama and he will thrash the republicans with them. You know, the funny part is that republicans shot themselves in the foot by thinking that they could concentrate on making Obama look bad enough to get an easy waltz into the oval office... all they have done is destroy thier credibility with the independants and moderates. Poetic justice

Yeah, because "anybody but Bush" worked out so well for us all. It looks like Romney will get the nod. Will refuse to vote for the 1st time in my life, and despite social stigma, proud of myself for doing so. The "lesser of two evils" has turned into "which color do you favor"? The white progressive or the black progressive? It is time for each one of us, in our own right, who don't enjoy the direction America is headed, to decide what is best for ourselves and those we love as globalism sets into to make the world slaves. Hoping for the best, or thinking voting will have any relevance is no longer an option.

What "obstructionism"? Obama had supermajorities in both houses of Congress for 2 full years. Everything he wanted to get passed was passed. Few Presidents had as easy of a ride through Congress as Obama, yet Obama complains more about obstructionism than any President in recent history. I guess it is because the message resonates with gullible idiots.

Still contradicting yourself in the span of one paragraph? "The President alone has very little effect on these numbers", yet "he still managed to take a (*)(*)(*)(*)bomb handoff from republicans and make something grow (sic). Nice gaffe. Welcome back, again!

Here's what I find the saddest part. This article referred to Democrats as "the Party of the non-working class" and "the Party of moochers, leeches, and victims." Meanwhile, the article in the "other" thread simply characterized Republicans as wanting "smaller government and lower taxes leading to a balanced budget."

Why does the pro-conservative article that's quoted spit out insults while the pro-liberal article presents a fair summary of the GOP? That is pretty telling... and sad.

"the Party of moochers, leeches, and victims" pretty much hits the Dems on the head. Nobody said it was gonna be pretty...

Republicans are kind of funny when they try to convince themselves they're not imploding.

I think it's the failure of their vote suppression schemes in so many places which has set them off this time. If Republicans can't stop Democrats from voting, how are they supposed to win? Gerrymandering alone can only take them so far. Their trusty race card isn't working. Women, moderates and young people are running from the GOP, and minorities always hated them. What's left is old bitter white males, and there aren't enough of those to keep the GOP viable as a national party. Every year, more of the GOP base dies and never gets replaced, not to mention that people tend to get more liberal as they age, not more conservative.

That, of course, does bring some problems, since when the Democrats gain power, the big money influence and corruption will migrate to the Democrats. But one thing at a time. The GOP will still do damage in its death throes, and we need to minimize that.

The GOP are imploding and those who run that nut house are leaving the kook element in charge of things.

You'll either demise or we Republicans will tear the nation apart before living in an America that doesn't beleive in some form of Laissez Faire Capitalism. Democrats don't have the Stones to stop Republicans from simply not following Democrat laws and if it leads to civil conflict, so be it.

Our way or the scorched earth highway. Your choice liberals.

I mean what is going to happen when all the States who passed anti-Obamacare laws refuse to cooperate with Obamacare?

Obama makes an international fool of himself... as this vid from a Danish TV station illustrates.

They'll be threatened with being cut off from federal dollars. And they all will cave. Would be nice if they didn't though. Self reliance is the backbone of sovereignty. The easy federal dollars are what led to state's independence being a joke, and faux outrage over federal growth being nothing more than posturing. A state who actually refused federal dollars, and learned to live without it, would be the most powerful state in the union in the long run. Though the short term and adjustment phase would be difficult. Like those who refuse handouts, it always is.
