    PALM BEACH, Fla. – The U.S. national media are intentionally ignoring the case of a Tennessee man convicted of making death threats against Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio because the man is described as an Obama “fanatic.”

    That’s the claim of radio giant Rush Limbaugh who says mainstream news media would be giving the case high prominence if a conservative person were making threats against a liberal.

    On Wednesday, WND reported on the conviction of Adam Eugene Cox, 33, of Knoxville, Tenn., who pleaded guilty to graphically threatening Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, possibly in connection with the lawman’s investigation into the president’s eligibility for office.

    Among Cox’s Internet postings: “I plan to kill Arpaio first. He will be filled with a thousand bullet holes before the year is out. I promise you this. He won’t f**k with Obama. He will be buried 10 feet under and his whole family will be murdered along with him.”

    “You notice how little coverage this has gotten from the mainstream media?” Limbaugh asked on his top-rated program this afternoon.

    “Can you imagine if somebody had threatened to kill – take your pick – and it was learned that they were avid supporters of Sarah Palin? Do you think you’d hear about it? Do you think it would be all over the news and do you think the media would try to go find evidence on Sarah Palin’s Facebook page on what could have inspired this insane lunatic to go try to kill somebody? Here you have an avid Obama supporter [committing the crime].”

    ^This. It's a terrible shame that the guy and his family received death threats but it doesn't deserve national attention and it looks like AZ media is covering it well enough.

    It is purely a local story about a county sheriff. Last time I looked there were 3,141 of them in the US. I'm sure Arpaio is not the only one who has ever received a death threat.

    I note that I also cannot find national coverage of the Denver Home & Garden Show. The media must be ignoring that too.

    Can you not post at least one single honest thing in your entire life? How many of those 3,141 sheriffs were threatened by a psychotic supporter of Barry Obama with death threats for "f**ing" with Obama?

    Leftists go into catatonic fits because Sarah Palin "targeted" dems up for reelection (politically targeted them). Imagine their reaction (and the news feeding frenzy) if one of her supporters planned to murder one of her political opponents. I'm sure you understand even if you will never admit it.


    The bit about the Denver Home & Garden show was just the hyperbolic cherry on this asinine cake. I'm tempted to call this beneath you...but it really isn't.

    WHAT? This is a sole lunatic making a threat about a sheriff. Because he's an obama fan it's not Obama's fault nor responsibility. Does it deserve national coverage? People get threatened all of the time. People (famous people) have stalkers and psychos that hang outside of their houses and cars. Is the media ignoring 98 percent of those cases as well?

    Because Arpaio was investigating our president's eligibility, and because a rabid supporter of our president threatened to kill Arpaio that makes it national news ...unless you'd like to try and claim that Barry Obama, and associated events and news, does not merit national news coverage. Are you claiming that, by any chance?

    Let me get this straight. We have one Sheriff in Arizona who admits he is gay and it makes national headlines all over the country for several weeks. Then we have another Sheriff in Arizona who is well known nationally who has a man want to kill him with a thousand bullets but it receives no national headlines. What does this really tell us?

    Sheriff Joe can handle himself. He's a capable man I'm sure. The media takes little of no interest in the story because there is not much of an audience; besides Fox will cover it.
