So NOW we are talking about natural gas?

Yeah, let's see you make plastics out of that!

When caught in BS, you just jump in another manure pit!

    Do you?

As has been explained to you a number of times now, what matters is net energy. There's plenty, but it's mostly crap.

At some point, you might begin to understand that identifying a lot of crap exists somewhere doesn't really mean much. ... I mean, you can call peat coal if you like, doesn't mean you can grille a steak with it.

Speaking of credibility and dishonesty, another energy bloviator who just doesn't understand the subject material, despite pontificating so arrogantly and partisan about it.

Obama was talking about light crude, the kind our empire is utterly built upon. Some of you people who seem to have no grasp that there are actually wildly different grades of oil should swing on over to this thread and learn a few things:

A reserve is an economic measurment... depending on cost of recovery, quality, flow rate, cost of refining and market demand..

    Its an educated GUESS..

    Extremely educated.

And then there's people like you, who prefer to round up to the nearest 10 billion, then cube that figure, to make stock price seem enticing.

Just because you like it doesn't mean I must like it.

Unlike you, it is much too racist for my tastes.

I like this bumper sticker much better!

Your bumper sticker is in very bad taste.

My bumper sticker is in good taste because it tells the absolute truth!

I love the oil business.. Where have YOU been?

The only thing that will destroy domestic production is if the ppb crashes.

Yeah, most of them are a lot like Ted Kennedy was before he died.

They feel badly because they have so much and ever had to once work for it.

And then they turn around and endorse and champion very liberal and far-Left social causes because it makes them feel good to do so!

They could care less that the politicians have to turn around and increase our taxes to support these very wasteful programs that make these rich children feel so self-righteous and very good!

And it appears you learned next to nothing from him on this topic.

You offer a lot of unverifiable claim, and zero substance supported by links we can all see.

Most leftists have a difficult time providing reliable references to support their claims and their political views.

It is not that I don't like Barack Obama. He is a decent person whom I would like to talk to and berhaps a beer or two with.

It is just that I believe he has been badly misled by Steven Chu and the directors of many green energy companies who stand to make billions and billions of dollars off this new emerging technology.

The technology to convert passenger cars and trucks to run on natural gas is already tried and proven. This technology makes a lot more sense than selling people expensive "electric" cars. By the way, these new cars cost about $40,000-$45,000 each! It also costs about $6,000 to replace the batteries in these cars every three or four years.

And just from what source do electric cars obtain the electricity to charge their batteries at night? They get this electricity from coal-fired and gas-fired power generation plants that’s where!

When you factor in the non-recoverable electrical “line losses” that all power distribution system experience while the batteries are re-charging, electric cars are not a satisfactory "green energy" solution for our energy needs after all. In fact, their "actual" carbon footprint is quite large!

Unless you plan on nationalizing oil, we could have 90 percent of the worlds oil and prices still wouldn't go down. Oil companies aren't going to sell oil to the US cheaper. They are profit driven. Emerging economies are willing to pay more for oil thus the price increases. I don't understand what drive is to drill here, drill now. The price of oil is what the market demands, the world market, not a small town in Alabama
