Gallup Poll: Romney 48% - Barack Obama 43%

For the sake of the country and the world, we can only hope the end is near for the Barack Obama Presidency.

It seems that the public is moving quickly into the Romney camp after the Democratic Party's "War on Women". My stay at home wife said this would bite Barack Obama in the ass, the woman was right once again.

Look for Romney to take an even bigger lead after the attack on stay at home moms by the left.

The general non-political population has been spoon-fed liberal propaganda for the last 4 years, and is blissfully unaware of how inept our current President really is. When Obama finally has to answer for his failures, expect Obama's support to drop even further.

And then throw in there a debate of Biden against either a Rubio or Christie, and you have disaster.

"I said that even if you have a child two years of age, you need to go to work," Romney told a campaign crowd in the tape from earlier this year.

Romney pointed out that the world had changed since the 1960s: "Now mom and dad both have to work,"

As bad as Sarah Palin beat him up last time, a debate against Christie, Rubio, or virtually anyone would beat the crap out of Biden. That could add a few more points to the Romney advantage for sure.

Anything can happen in politics, so we will have to see. However, I'm still thinking that the absolute shellacking the liberal retards took in 2010 is indicative of what we are likely to see this year. How many of Obama's policies are truly popular? Not one of them could be considered a success and none of them had the results that were promised.

Skyrocketing energy prices are hardly popular.

wonder if Hillary Clinton would consider a VP slot if Biden "suddenly" came down with some unforeseen malady? While I am sure Obama is desperate enough to beg if necessary, Hilary is looking pretty long in the tooth and will probably tell him to pack sand

I expect this to be a 9% beat down before it is over. Barack Obama is 1 term and done.

That fake outrage at Martin/Zimmerman and the bullcrap about the Buffett rule had a lot to do with it too.

He's being a hack. He is trying to imply the Romeny was advocating for women to work when he was in reality lamenting the reality many families find themselves in. The Mello Guy is able to make this argument because he has no moral compass what so ever.

Too bad neither of them will be the candidate. You'll be lucky to have some goof like Jindal, who'll be an embarrassment to the GOP. Don't worry, the more the economy recovers and the more Obamas policies continue to make our nation better, it will be a landslide. And of course, the more the GOP House continues to do jack squat to help a single American below the 1% line, the sooner the left will turn the tide once again back to 2008. Only this time, obama won't need to compromise or play down to the rights level. Then you'll be REALLY pissed.

Every liberal on this forum was spouting of that same sort of gibberish right up until the absolute shellacking the democrats received in 2010. Surely you remember the 40 years of democrat domination and republicans get to sit in the back.

Do you have any understanding of how the system works at all? You do realize that the president only controls the executive branch? Exactly what is he going to to if the Republicans completely control the legislature?

Then there is the very real possibility that Obama loses the election. The latest polls certainly show it to be a distinct possibility, just like they indicated the left would get squashed in 2010. Then what? If you don't think it can happen then you clearly know nothing about politics.

If Romney wins by a 7%+ margin the Republicans will take the Senate as well.

The question with lib polls is how much leftwing bias do they represent?

If they concede a 5% edge for Romney it may be more.

I really don't think either side needs to be doing any chicken counting for a while yet. 6 more months ti the election and you can lose one in less that 60 seconds

Probably better to just to the RCP average that includes the poll cited in the OP and other prominent pollsters (to get a clearer picture/consensus) if early polls are that important to you.
