Obama making a fool outta himself last night was perfect timing. Romney made one of the best speeches of the campaign so far... and it was great to compare his performance with Barack's. The clown & the statesman.

Wonder why Obama's handlers set him up like that?

The hard right will claim that Obama was "making a fool outta himself".

Everybody else will appreciate it for the somewhat humorous approach to an important subject.

Bush and his administration invading and occupying Iraq because its WMD was an "urgent threat" to the US?
Bush and the Republicans passing tax cuts claiming they would not cause deficits?
Bush promising that with his tax cuts the debt would be decreased by two trillion dollars?
Bush blocking the only bill every passed by a chamber of the Republican Congerss to regulate Freddie and Fannie?

I can think of many things more pathetic.

More appropriate for some of the companies Romney worked over with Bain Capital.

    The Bush administration condoning torture?
The Tea Party Republicans using the debt ceiling to extort their policies?
Republicans blocking even a de minimus $5 billion a year tax on the richest Americans to increase revenues and so they will pay the same tax rates as many middle class families?

I can think of many sadder things.

I think it's funny that the same Conservative media that has been trying crowbar a likeable personality onto Romney the entire primary process is now criticizing Obama because he actually is likeable.

    No you really can't.

How does it make you feel Obama is up there doing this (*)(*)(*)(*) while everyone suffers from his failures?

    Sure I can.

I can think of how the last guy you all put in office left us with a tanking economy losing 700,000+ jobs a month.
I can think of how the last guy you all put in office left us with a crashing stock market that droopped over 50%.
I can think of how the Republican Tea Party played extortion with the US's good credit resulting in a credit down grade.

    Those are all sadder.

When Obama took office, the economy was tanking at a -9% real rate, losing 700,000+ jobs a month, unemployment was skyrocketing upward, and the stock markets were crashing in the worst recession in 80 years. The housing market was destroyed and the economy was headed straight for a depression.

But now the economy has been growing steadily for more than two years, the private sector has created jobs every single month for two years, stock markets are up almost 100% from their recession lows, and the unemployment rate has fallen from above 10% to 8.2%, and over 4 million private sector jobs have been added since Jan 2010.

Only those invested in failure for political purposes could claim Obama's policies have been failures.

Agreed. The economy was a total train wreck when Obama took office. When Obama took office, the economy was tanking at a -9% real rate, losing 700,000+ jobs a month, unemployment was skyrocketing upward, and the stock markets were crashing in the worst recession in 80 years. The housing market was destroyed and we were headed straight for a depression.

It took the better part of a year to slow that dive down, and in the meantime, a lot of damage continued to be done.

But now the economy has been growing steadily for more than two years, the private sector has created jobs every month for almost two years, stock markets are up almost 100% from their recession lows, and the unemployment rate has fallen from above 10% to 8.2%, and about 4 million private sector jobs have been added since Jan 2010.

    Thanks Obama.

Why anyone would want to support Romney who wants to go back to the same failed policies of the Bush administration is beyond me.

Actually, the only reason the unemployment rate has dropped is massive numbers of peoPle leaving the work force.

If the participation rate now was the same as in Dec.'08 the unemployment rate would be over 10.7%!!!

That is FAR worse then it ever was under GWB.

    It's amazing.

Under Obama, America has 1.6 million less people working then when he took over AND he has raised the national debt over $3,000,000 for every job lost.

His election promise shold have been 'I promise that as President that I will make sure that within 3 1/2 years that 1.6 million LESS Americans will have jobs and I will raise the national debt over $5 trillion dollars to do it.'

And people are so politically blind that they actually spin it in their minds that he is doing a good job.

It is true, UE would be up above 10.5% if they actually calculated the numbers correctly. However, hope and change and transparency are not what this is about.

lol - you're just like me - in reverse. I guess the math would be:

    You + Me = 0;

    or, maybe

    You * Me = 0; [Where Me>0]

The only reason the unemployment rate under GWB wasn't far worse is because the participation rate fell 3.8 points, far more than it has fallen under Obama.

The total number of private sector jobs actually fell over the 8 years Bush was president.

Over 4 million private sector jobs have been added since Jan 2010.

That's far from being worse in my book.

For once during your time on here; why don't you sit back, shut up, open your mind and try to learn something new instead of ejaculating your Jehovah's Witness-style Obama-is-THE-ONE speal all over everyone?

Most Americans do not care how many flipping jobs Obama's kiss ass, spin doctors say were created during his term.

They care about how many jobs are out there RIGHT NOW.

And RIGHT NOW, there are over 1.6 million less then the day Barack I-got-nominated-for-a-Nobel-Peace-Prize-based -on-only-my-first-6-weeks-in-office Obama got sworn in.

And not only did this dick head's policies kill off over 1 1/2 million jobs...but the economic moron forced Americans over $5 trillion dollars further into debt to do it!

What also is worse is the average price of houses since he took over, the number of people who are on food stamps, the deficit (even though he promised to reduce it - not increase it) and the unemployment rate.

And if you include those that have given up looking for work (which the unemployment rate should) then the rate is 10.7% which is galactically higher then it EVER was under that bonehead GWB.

Now anyone that reads this and says that Obama is doing a good job is so politically stupid that they would actually be too idiotic for the role of village idiot in a village completely made up of ex-village idiots who lost their jobs because their levels of idiocy had become too great.

You've said over and over that you don't care about evidence, you don't care about opinions. So why do you offer yours to me and others?

Prove your claims by links to unbiased facts.

You've said over and over that you don't care about evidence, you don't care about opinions. So why do you offer yours to me and others?

Prove your claims by links to unbiased facts.

And the UNBIASED FACTS prove that all 1.6 million of those jobs you talk about were lost in the first 2-3 months of when Obama took office, as did the vast bulk of those housing price declines took place. The UNBIASED FACT is that over 4 million additional private sector jobs have been added since January 2010.

And so, while once again, you have provided ZERO PROOF of your claims, the UNBIASED FACTS prove that your OPINION that this is Obama's fault is nothing more than the typical baseless, biased, political hack blather that we see from 95% of the other so-called conservatives on this board.

So maybe for once *you* can sit back, shut up, open your mind, and try to learn something new, instead of continuously vomiting the same old UNSUPPORTED, BIASED, OPINIONED, BULL(*)(*)(*)(*).

Don't forget about those that are underemployed: The former executive delivering pizzzsa now to stay afloat.

Those that gave up looking for a job.

Those that no longer qualify for unemployment.

Had UE been calculated the way you do, the Unemployment rate would be over 9.9% when Bush left office.
