Here is a much BETTER one. Why vote Republican? National debt 10/01/2007, $9,062,552,400,356.63 National debt 05/01/2012, $15,673,229,738,379.98 Difference. $6,610,677,338,023.35 216 YEARS of many different parties in DC $9 TRILLION in debt. An average of $42 billion of debt per year. Democrats take control of Congress for FY 2008 and in 4 years, run up $6.6 TRILLION IN NEW DEBT. AN AVERAGE OF $1,652,669,334,505.83 PER YEAR. In 4 years Democrats increased the average yearly debt increase from $42 billion per year for 216 years, TO $71 billion per year. THAT is enough reasons, 6.6 trillion reasons, to vote Republican.
Obama has stopped? You should look at our presence there http://www.dailypress.com/news/brea...loyed-to-middle-east-20120429,0,4981631.story
What did he do to make them go up? Righties blamed him for it. Shouldn't he get the credit for them coming down too??
Maybe in the news then? I really haven't heard much about Iran in the past few weeks. Figured that was cooling the market speculation.
So your answer to big government is MORE government regulation and restriction of free speech? Brilliant!!!! I liked your point # 2 best.
Conservatives believe the Bible is the word of God yes? Their most ardent supporters, the Evangelicals believe every word of that Book is true. The Republican party has posited itself as the Conservative majority party. Therefore, one reason why one would vote for Republicans is because they are Evangelical, thus believe the Bible literally, thus believe in the story of God calling upon Abraham to sacrifice Isaac to show love and loyalty to God. To which Abraham was all too ready to take knife and slay his son. And to which I say, is a horrible idea, to believe either that story,or that any God would call upon someone to kill their son, or kill anyone else. So if you, or any other rightwing loony thinks that is rediculous, then GOOD!
I'm ultra conservative and do not belong to any religious group and do not read the bible nor believe in any god. But I see NO connection between political convictions and religion. Some liberals and some conservatives are deeply religious and some are not. To associate a religious belief with a political stance is simply ridiculous inane propaganda.
You have to be blind or lying to yourself to not see the religious link between the Republican Party and Christianity. Their brand of religious social conservatism is what chased me out of the party years ago. Rather than promote small government, liberty, and fiscal responsibility they're too busy trying to find ways to make sure that gays aren't treated the same as straight people in the eyes of the government. They're a sick joke. When people like Ron Paul who embody their small government message are thrown aside and people like Perry and Santorum are promoted as symbols of the party then you know there's a hard line religious aspect that way overrules the small government/fiscally sound aspect.
The difference is that I'm NOT religious but I don't FEAR religion as you obviously do. Now completely FALSE totalitarian governments hiding behind religion like islam are a deep concern. But that is not religion, that is an imperial government.
What? That does address my post at all. It's clear as day that the Republicans act on religion, they make no attempt to hide it. It's a larger motivation that small government and fiscally sound government as evidence by their actions. BTW I don't fear religion, I'm annoyed by people trying to put their fantasy into my life and people electing idiots who talk to their imaginary friend to try to solve real issues.
Yet the obamalamaloopa claims he practices his religion every chance he gets and regrets that he is unable to make it to church as often as he'd like to go. But since he is a radical leftist hard core liberal, he must just be politically posturing, since he must not be religious since he's not a Republican. The "in God we trust" on our money, and one nation, "UNDER GOD," and swearing on a bible must bug the be-Jesus out of you. [intended]
Who cares about the Obama voters, the fact that they are willing to vote him in for a second term shows they have no conviction. He legitimized Guantanamo, has done nothing to fix the economy, and our soldiers still die in Afghanistan because he hasn't ended it. That the PATRIOT act was resigned under his term, that he passed the NDAA, that the TSA is still up to its (*)(*)(*)(*), I mean the list keeps going. I highly doubt a Republican would do any better. As for all the god in government yes I find it annoying and I believe it should be removed. Absence of religion is the best way to preserve religious freedom. You don't see me clamoring for "there is no god" being printed on money or any crap like that, I simply want the government to be neutral about religion and let the church deal with it from there. You should no more have to deal with non-belief than you should with belief. The biggest part of the problem there is that believers seem to see religious neutrality as an attack on religion, when in reality it is not.
However, if I recall correctly (it's been ages since I've read the story, however) God stopped Isaac before the knife descended.
http://www.theblaze.com/blog/2012/0...el-production-on-federal-lands-at-9-year-low/ It is obviously Bush's fault. He was the one that shut off the oil production on the land that he has control over as POTUS....Oh wait, that would be Obama's fault.
