When I first came it was dominated by the left, being a conservative it was not the most pleasant experience. A friend of mine left, I said I would stay and try to change it....

    I have been here for years,,,,,,mission accomplished...LOL

Dont leave,,,stay and work for the changes you would like to see, you do it with debate. That's why we are here...., and what we do best...

You want the truth or not?

Not, evidently. I can imagine your indignation when Obama makes similar statements.

It's time for you to realise that those who represent the GOP are no different than those who represent the Democrats. They will all crap on you at every chance they get.

So you can tell me everything you did 10 years ago and not make any wrong statements?

Comparing a memory from 10 years ago to doing something in the present is disingenuous.

Do me a favour. I'm not a politician. I don't have to remember. A politician does.

I can imagine your indignation if Obama was to say in 2022 that he did not recall having changed the heath care system in the US.

Nice spin that is not reality. Comparing a marathon that affects no one to political policy is also disingenuous.

The tiresome 'I know you are but what am I' back and forth between Republicrats and Demoblicans (to a non-American, there is little difference worth noting) toeing their respective party lines and peppered with childish inanity is the reason why I tend to find myself mostly commenting in the religion section. It's a shame really.

Anything that affects your way of thinking would be disingenuous to you.

The comical thing is an Aussie/s complaining about American political discussion, to begin with.

Is there nothing of interest to discuss and/or whine about down under? No forums there? lol

There is one here, Political Forum ~ All things Aussie, but I suppose there is not anything to whine about there either.

    :(

English as a RWNJ language isn't my strength, either.

    Ask me, about "commanism."

It's cool that you had to open up a thread dedicated to your departure instead of just doing what you supposedly intended to do. That doesn't scream "I need attention and I need it now and constantly! Shine that (*)(*)(*)(*) spotlight right here where I am!" or anything. Someone else said it pretty well, don't let the door smack your butt too hard on the way out. Then again, you've probably built up a tolerance to being spanked, it's likely the reason why you're leaving--because you've been spanked so thoroughly in different debates and threads prior to this.

Maybe a site named NOTpoliticalforum.com would be more your cup of tea, eh?

Flounder's right (not always, but this time)... the forum has gone from left-heavy to right-heavy in the last year or so.

If you notice, so has the political climate in the United States. See results of 2010 midterms for proof.

This forum merely reflects the mood of the country, which is definitely not leaning left these days.

Actually, it is an international forum about politics. It may be run by Americans, but the focus is on international politics.

It won't get better until those of us that are awake, can figure out for ourselves that culture matters, and that we need to create a culture of engagement that demands transparency.

Culture is the only thing that can trump the divide and conquer tactic. You may enjoy reading what Dylan Ratigan has been saying for some time now, if you are looking for a more productive conversation.

While this may sound simple enough, I constantly allow myself to be dragged into pro-wrestling matches, despite my belief that participation in a culture of division is counter productive.

It wasn't anything to do with Socialistic ideals, which weren't even around then by the way.

It had to do with self determination. And we didn't really care enough, the colonies at the time in America were not that important. It's all good... now you've taken over you can run around policing the world while Europe hides behind you. We're friends! It might have been cool if we were closer, y'know, but never mind.

What do you think of crown loyalists?

A lot of smart people don't want to come here. They read a few sick, loopy, bat(*)(*)(*)(*) crazy posts and think better of it.

We've lost a lot of good posters lately. This place is a lot dumber than it used to be. SMART people leave. I am dumb cos I'm still here, but I'm not around much anymore. The racism and misogyny here is particularly DUMB and grubby. Might as well take a bath in manure, same thing as reading grubby posts here. Just a quick dip in and out of the bath of manure would be a lot less grubby than reading a lot of the crap here. Expedient too.
