This is silly. Arabic is not some mystery language that only certain Muslim apologists can understand. It was around in the seventh century. It looks like you're confusing Arabic with a Kufic script which early Qurans were supposed to have been written in, which does not appear until a couple of centuries later. Yeah, there's plenty of slack in the translations alright, but the slack doesn't tend toward Muslim opponents point of view, eg Yusef Ali. I have never heard any Arabic speaking Muslim say that they find the Arabic vague.

Sometimes destroying key parts of a culture is a very good thing. Destroying Thuggee culture in India was a very good thing. The destruction of slavery I would also consider a good thing. The list is really quite endless.

You are mistaken. There is no prohibition against suicide attacks in the Quran, quite opposite. You shouldn't confuse suicide with martyrdom (which is what suicide bombings are considered to be).

That is what is being done. Eliminating the jihadi threat will take several more decades (maybe longer). But in the last 10 years the West has been quite succesful in taking out several tens of thousands of them and their supporters. Many hundreds of thousands more to go.
