Yeah... it's only class warfare when we fight back; otherwise, it's just class slaughter.

How many times does President Obama have to repeat that he wants a BALANCED approach of CUTS in spending AND increases in Revenues?

Just in case you REALLY do not know. . . The answer is YES!

Ad I hope at corporate welfare gets cut first!

sounds like your referring to the banks, if a bank gambles your money and loses, do you think they should be bailed out by the government?

banks have been gambling our money for years, when they win (big bonus are given out) when they lose they ask for a bail out cause they did not save any of those winnings, winnings their money, losses our responsibility?)

I'm not saying it isn't a tax. I'm asking which tax liabilities Obamacare will impose on the middle class. If it's just the tax/penalty for not having insurance, then big whoop. There's no reason a middle-class person should be able to freeload on medicaid.

Sorry, I think what I'm saying is pretty clear, and this thread addresses ONLY the Bush tax cuts being extended for all income below $250,000.

President Obama ha not mentioned (at least at this time) any other tax, so, if this bill passes Congress and Obama signs it, it would have NO EFFECT on the other taxes and issues you mentioned.

So, why create a mountain at this time?

Second post in this thread which this conversation is derived from:

I already pay too much. Waaaaaaaaaaaay too much. The federal plus the state government already take 45% of my income. I don't get health care back, or food stamps, or any kind of welfare. Now you want to take more?

And it is very easy to avoid that "so called" penalty tax. . . Purchase insurance instead of counting on your fellow citizens to "bail you out" if you or your loved ones get sick. . . And you won't have to pay the penalty tax!

Pretty straight forward, wouldn't you say so?

Of course you would say that, you don't have a clue what you're talking about, as usual. There are many taxes coming just from Obamacare. Obviously you never read what Obamacare actually does, but I wouldn't expect people who think that we need to "pass it before we know what's in it" to understand anything about it.

If you don't think those costs will ultimately fall on the middle class, think again.

I'm sure your parents help out plenty. And you don't pay taxes, by the way. At least the taxes we are referring to. You likely get back more at the end of the year in terms of tax refunds and student tax credits than you pay in.

They already did. They said they'd be willing to eliminate some deductions in lieu of preventing a tax rate hike. The same amount of money can be raised. That won't be good enough for Obama and the Democrats, though.

A small business making $250,001 is paying 3 cents more in taxes. I think they will survive.

    Do you have to ask?

Low income Obama voters are already getting a free ride on income taxes.

They pay nothing or practicality nothing whereas those making over $250K pay upwards of 80% of all the income taxes.

The "rich" are already paying more than their fair share.

    Another idea...

Tax only the people that wanted it.

You know, the people that voted for Obama... and the welfare recipients to lazy to go vote. Well, forget the career welfare turds, I'm sure the Obama voters wouldn't mind kicking in even more to coddle them.

Then everyone is a happy camper. YEA!

The proposed additional revenue from taxing job producers will run the government for an additional 18 minutes. The losses in jobs by additional taxes to everyone may actually result in less revenue, much like what happened in Oregon when measure 75 and 76 passed.

So in light of all of this, the point of the tax is what exactly? Social justice? So Obama can pretend that everything is fairer somehow? Then what? Do you think Obama will stop the class warfare? It is the only thing he knows. People cannot eat social justice, but they absolutely must have jobs to feed their families.

A bad economy is actually good for Democrat politicians because it just creates more Obama voters who depend on government handouts for their daily bread.

    And cell phone.

You wanted it, now shut your whining and do what you voted for.

What good is expected? This will collect 30 billion annually - that doesn't even SCRATCH the level of debt being created right now. That 30 billion can do far more good circulating in the economy controlled by those who have proven that they're far more adept at creating economic expansion than this administration.

This is about control and punishment.

This administration doesn't have the foggiest notion how tax cutting for EVERYONE expands a tax base.

Obama doesn't care if punitive taxes on the rich hurt the economy.

He was just been re-elected by a majority of Obama voters who do not care about jobs or a good economy.

All they need is Obama and the welfare state to take care of them.

And the worse the economy is the more they need Obama.

Tax hike for wealthy Americans won't kill growth: CBO

The rich are sitting on their money and at almost their lowest tax rate in history while increasing in wealth while everyone else stagnates.

While I disagree with $250,000 being "rich" the growing wealth divide must be addressed.
