This free stuff bandwagon is beyond me. Right I am an American living in London where is my free stuff I Voted Obama? Governments exist to protect and Assist.
Defence, Police, Natural disasters , like it or not the Government is indirectly involved in your life in some way.I agree laziness should not be tolerated in society but here is a question a new outbreak of a virus breaks now the cost of the cure is expensive an average American will die without it and most cannot afford the hefty price tag. Millions will die without any "free" vaccine including kids now should poor people be giving a handout or left to die? everyone for himself? or holding the vaccine back is fair game! if you can't afford it tough!

 

It took 16 years for the country to recover from the great depression. Rush is a moron if he expects Obama to magically fix everything that happened to the economy in 4 years.

And you have to remeber that Rush supported Bush in everything he did that took us from a surplus to a recession.

 

Actually it shows how without rushes endorsement the gop vote was supressed. bad republican turnout because the base wasn't excited. tv and radio has a lot of influence on how people think.

OP is disappointed that there are no liberal talk radio hosts that can come close to matching Rush in popularity and ratings.

And that's because you can't even get liberals to listen to liberal talk radio.

I tried calling a liberal talk radio host once and she just hung up on me, and that there is the problem.

She gave up the opportunity to have an entertaining discussion with a conservative.

I said, "Abortion is like slavery because you have one group discriminated against for the sake of a more powerful group..."

Then she got mad and hung up.

So, all the listeners who could have heard a very interesting conversation didn't.

And realizing that the host never would allow an interesting conversation, they tuned her out.

That's quite a dumb comment. TODAY'S GOP started at about the same time as Rush's show! A GOP after Rush will be unrecognizable.

The rich get all kinds of "free stuff." like profits off the work of employees. Millions of Republicans get free money from their rich parents.

 

Because he is known to be an extreme on some issues, and there's a lot more extremist in the GOP and republican side than people think.

Rush recently said that Obama's purpose is to weaken the country. How does anyone but a moron even think that makes sense?

 

I have still not seen one GOP member stand up to him. Remember some years back Ed Shultz challanged any GOP member to stand up to him and say he was not the voice of the GOP. Not one of them ever stepped forward. He has a great deal of influence on the party. Nobody wants to admit it or say so but its true. That kind of hate filled speak spilling out of talk radio and the Tea Party has caused the GOP to begin to crumble from the inside. And if they don't put a stop to it things will fail bit time. And for the looks of it Boehner hasn't the balls to do it. Shame I rarely agreed with many of the stands taken by the GOP but at least I could respect them. This new breed of GOP right wing hate filled racist libertarian group is dangerous.

You also have districts in Florida in which voter trunout was 120% of what was on the rolls. In other words 20% more people voted than should have been permitted to.

You can thank GOP obstructionism for the fact that we don't have 20 trillion dollars in debt instead of 16 trillion, not to mention the fact that unemployment isn't closer to 10 percent.

If Rush has such huge influence please explain why the man who was no better than his fifth or sixth choice got the Nomination?
