If you support the state of Israel being abolished, then you support Palestinian gays being stoned to death in their religious fundamentalist culture. Many gay Palestinian teens flee to Israel because they are safer there than with their own family, so if you support Israel's dissolution, then these gay refugees would have no where to hide. Just sayin'. Opposing Israel = supporting gay genocide.
Sorry, but opposing the messed up stuff Israel does, is in no way condoning what some Palestinians do to gays. What a dishonest way of looking at things.
I've seen some pretty good looking women in Iraq. Too bad most of them look sixty, by the time they turn thirty.
It is a false dichotomy... however it is noteworthy the repercussions of ones desires and the conflicts within their own belief structure. I mean... you cannot suggest that it is ok that Israelis eat babies, because they keep the gays safe, so they should go on eating babies... (this is meant only to illustrate the false dichotomy)... so there is no moral imperative to preserve Israel there... in fact my rational response to both cultures is to throw up the middle finger and come back when it is patches of glass. There is no hero, or victim on the two sides... just a culture of war built on centuries of quibbling over desert religions. If I had to pick one to remain, it would be Israel, because they contribute a lot of tech to society... but I am not overly fond of them.
OK, fine, I'm willing to make trade offs, I'd trade gay rights and abortion rights for single payer national health care, progressive taxation, labor rights, education reform, a new deal style infrastructure program and a national industral policy.
Ignorant false equivelancy. I oppose many things that Israel does. I also oppose many things Palestine and other Arab states do.
