The guy was being taken into the police station and struggled with the officers and got one of THEIR guns. Since your comparing it to the gun free zone shootings, please point out the similarities between the Aurora theater, the Connecticut school and this incident.
I'm addressing the point made that shooting don't happen at police stations. Like this one in Detroit. Or this one in Fairfax Or this one in Texas If someone wants to shoot up a mall or a theater, armed guards will most likely spray more bullets around the place. Armed amatures would do even worse. How doesn't it? You keep making the claim that nobody would attack a police station because the attacker know the people inside have guns and will defend themselves. Do you think the attackers in these cases forgot that cops carry guns? People who are going to shoot up a mall don't care if there is armed security. And they really don't care if there's a chance a good guy might be carrying with a ccw. People who are intent on shooting up a public place are gonna tryb to do it anyway.

Sure, but they don't go there with the expectation that they will be able to shoot a large number of people unopposed. They are going there to kill cops. Your example is a poor one, since it is a disarming.
What's your argument? Mass shooters go after unarmed people in gun free zones. GFZ prevent people from stopping them with legal CCW weapon. GFZ are a horrible idea.
