The combined campaign of the ruling Likud Party and the Yisrael Beiteinu Party released a statement following the decision: "We regret the Supreme Court's decision to allow lawmaker Zoabi to vie for a Knesset seat. Given the court's interpretation of the law it is obvious that the law must change ...

What do you think it was that caused the Knesset fascists to reject the judgement of Israel's supreme court and declare that they would change laws when decisions didn't suit them ?
It was the court's decision to allow a Palestinian ' Israeli ' citizen to run in the forthcoming elections. Why did the fascists object ? She witnessed the slaughter, in internatioinal waters, of nine Turkish peace activists at the hands of their IOF as an activist herself aboard a blockade-running vessel.

Now, there will be supporters of neoZionist fascism who will claim that Israel MUST be a democracy because it allows arabs to run in its election. The truth , however, is that arabs run in its elections because the whole world is watching. Keep watching. Their backs are to the wall of their own construction. Should you stop watching then they will change their laws and further debase the concept of democracy in fascist Israel.

It seems clear that if the political climate prevailing today in Israel had existed decades ago, there would be no such thing as an Israeli Arab citizen (with the possible exceptions of the Druze and a few other very small groups). There are at least a million official Israelis that too many of the rest of the Israelis now wish did not exist. Given the attitude of Germans towards Jews in the first half of the twentieth century and the consequences that sprang from that attitude, such feelings go beyond ironic into tragic hubris and a failure to understand the message God tried to impart to them.

Absolutely. And it allows the Arabs to vote, and it allows the Arabs to have their own parties, organizations, religion, language, newspapers, and it has Arab members of the government and the supreme court...

And in addition to that Israel is a democracy because it has independent, unbiased judiciary which provides checks and balances to the other branches of the government (which this case demonstrates for the thousands time), and because no Israeli politician is above the law, and because even such disgusting Israel-hating scum as Zoabi is allowed to run after all and represent the true colors of her [fifth column] constituency.

Lip service to democracy under the watch of world opinion. Israel can have the most robust anti-discrimination laws imaginable - which of course it doesn't- and they wouldn't exist in practice . Which they don't.
The racist State works to undermine the democratic principles which the courts try in vain to apply.

LOL, arab parties, elected representatives, members of the government and the supreme court, newspapers, organizations, language, religion, equal voting rights, pro-arab supreme court (and other lower courts) rulings... Some lip service!

OKay...So Israel is a true democracy under the watch of world opinion. Works for me LOL

Of course it does. You don't even accept the proof provided by the thread topic.

The real ' Borat '- on the other hand- is a faded but once moderately-popular satirist whose claim to fame extended to having a large moustache.
