My question is why would they use local units to assist in this particular training session? How would the local authorities assist them overseas? As usual his stories never add up, yet seem to to be adequate for his followers

A difficult situation indeed... however every single member in that chain of command swore an oath to defend the constitution and obey only lawful orders. Such an unprecedented unlawful order has never been tested... however I have faith that the upper regiments in the chain of command will never let it pass to the guy in the sky. While I am fine arguing speculation, accepting either side as "what is happening" is born of belief, not reality.

 

Well... there are any number of answers to this question... but I agree the question should be asked. Perhaps the police were necessary to close off an area so that when blanks were being fired, people did not think they were being fired on and drive off a bridge or something.

 

They are also tried to think and apply moral and ethics to situations. If they are told to pull the trigger, most of them will not do it.

 

Possibly, but the deviance of this administration I could conclude leaves many to wonder. It is not as if Obama as been forth coming with any of his statements, nor has the truth been seen coming from them. His constant attacks of conservatism, his inaugural address never spoke of uniting the country, his entire expertise is to divide us, shouts much louder. I along with many others suspect differently. There are many who would have never believed that our own CIC would conspire against it citizens as this President has done

Interesting theory. Would it be wise to announce the presence of joint military and police training excercises in the same neighborhood your planning a raid?
If I was a major drug smuggler and I heard the spot I was hanging around in was going to be heavily surrounded by police and military I'd take a fast vacation.

 

There's no tell'n what ordinance U.S. Military Gunships are sport'n these days ... but then again they're not out there threatening to take the country back with pithy little small-arms ... by posting Dems Target Lists and telling the Secretary of State to suck on machine guns ...

I do. Every field training exercise, including urban environment training, that I was involved with in the military always took place on military bases, except some exercises in Germany.

You know of a MOUT facility with dozens of 60-story buildings and other major infrastructure?

The MOUT facilities I know of are mostly cinder-block buildings of no more than a few stories.

I live in a very rural area near a military airport. There is a black helicopter flying over as I type this... I am looking at it. They drill out here all the time. Other countries have buildings too. Flying in an urban setting is very different than most others. I would want our pilots to be able to do what they need to do in a city. I just think live training in one would require its evacuation much less warning. It is insanely dangerous. You could set up an even safer mock city out in the desert perhaps... balloons and whatnot. I think that would be a better idea.

 

I think it is offensive to think of people who dedicate their lives to service of their country and do so with enough distinction to earn its highest ranks as being so self involved they would (*)(*)(*)(*) on the constitution.

 

Even so we don't need the Obama military using American cities for target practice.
