Fight the Obama junta. Every millimeter on every issue. Particularly on the big issue: the size of government.

In the early part of the last century Winston Churchill strode like a giant. Not so much because of his judgment. Gallipoli and the campaign in Italy were costly blunders. But when Britain flat-out had to FIGHT for its survival, they knew nobody would fight like Churchill.

What frosted conservatives about Bush and Bill Frist is that they would not actively fight the democrats despite the fact the Dems used every dirty trick imaginable. The time for Mr. Nice Party is over.

    http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/343320/fight-michael-walsh

    quote:
“Don’t make nice with them, don’t play fair with them, don’t reach across the aisle and above all, treat them and their ideas with exactly the same amount of respect with which they treat yours: none. Contempt is the only language they understand.”

“…thanks to Hillary Clinton and the rest of the Alinsky Left, the personal is now political, so get personal…”

“…Pat Caddell just reminded the GOP, his team plays to win, and doesn’t really much care how it does it — “by any means necessary” is their motto.”

“Nominate presidential standard-bearers who actually want to engage their opponents ideologically…”

“You just know that if the money grab in Cyprus succeeds, it’s only a matter of time before the Democrats try it here…”

“…introduce a bill to prevent just such a thing, and dare them to vote against it…”

“Why isn’t what’s happening in Detroit — the slow-motion demolition of one of our great cities at the hands of a single political party — not on the lips of every prominent Republican?”

    Taxcutter says:
In the darkest days of 1940 Churchill gave a speech before Parliament that defined his place in history.
“…We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, …”

    Taxcutter says:
That must be the attitude of conservatives in the face of the Obama totalitarian offensive.

Oh....didn't realize you guys were "holding back" these past four years with McConnell's "Our goal is to make the President a one-term President" and all the Birther talk?

NOW "the gloves are off", huh? No more "Mr. Nice Guy" from you guys on the Obama Derangement Syndrome Right?

    :D

BTW, America...showed what it wanted to hear on November 6th...and it wasn't that crap.

From a psychological standpoint what will be interesting is...."the Big Let-down". When January 20th 2017 rolls around and President Obama leaves office.

Now you'd THINK that guys like this would celebrate...and they will.....for a while. But eventually even if Joe Biden or Hillary becomes the Prez, there will be this "hole" in their hateful hearts that only Barack Obama can fill.

They will STILL be focusing on him...into 2018,2019,2020, and forever. They will NEVER be able to just "let it go".

    Watch and see.

Do you mind if we stab your side in the back, speaking figuratively of course, and cause the wheels to come off your bus?

Pal, Obama isn't going away. After his term ends Organizing For America will be his flagship for influencing the course of events.

He's living in yours and Taxcutter's minds...for years to come.

See the problem is, from now on, due to him being re-elected, you can never claim 2008 was a fluke....and you will always be plagued by the idea that "It could happen again" (however you wish to define that....politically or racially).

And that means we'll be well into the 2020s and you guys will still be dreaming up little fantasies about "Putting Obama on trial for his crimes"....or "Obama still pulling the strings for a Communist revolution in this country"....or "Obama cheating on Michelle with a young white girl"....or any of a thousand things.

    In a mental obsession sense.....he owns your ass...forever. :)

    - - - Updated - - -

They deny that....claim it was "voter fraud" and "WE are still the REAL majority in this country".

Or the other Sour Grapes routine of "Fine, they voted for him...but SOME DAY there will be a reckoning and those Obama fans will see the TRUTH as we have!!!!!!"

    :)

You just don't get it. I've given up on the USA. I'm not interested in who captains the Titanic. I'm interested in the collision with the iceberg. Then, the ship sinks. Think of the USA as the Titanic.

The McConnell "make Obama a one term President" quote came from October 2010, after almost two years of an Obama presidency.

Obama just convinced the people that Romney was Mr. Moneybags from Monopoly. He won with fewer votes than he did the first time. Nothing to be proud of.

    - - - Updated - - -

Partly. However, they also wanted to keep the House Republican in order to keep Obama from running roughshod over the country.

Obama has presided over the slowest growth of spending of any recent president. Spending grew *far* faster under Reagan, Bush1, and Bush2, even if you count 2009 as Obama's year.

    Data here: http://www.politicalforum.com/polit...74-obama-really-big-spender-facts-say-no.html

Obama inherited a huge increase in spending because of the Great Recession. Since 2009, however, spending has barely grown at all. As a proportion to GDP, it is now less than in some Reagan years.

The concept that Obama is a "big spender" is just another fabrication of the right wing propaganda machine. I agree that a lot of people buy into it, though.

As long as we have government handouts: food stamps, welfare, SSI, I'm sure the DEMs will have the upper hand in most elections to come. If you reform entitlements, you lose votes.

You may want to do a bit of research into the history of these programs, and perhaps understand they have been in place for quite some time. Unless the current President has a time machine and the ability to manipulate minds....this is not something to lay at his feet. I do agree however, that reform is needed in these programs, as well as many others.

With luck this will happen soon....as the administration has become open to it.

    Americans like entitlements.

As long as they pander tax cuts, REPs will do OK. If you raise taxes you lose votes.

Sadly, Americans who like entitlements outnumber those who rely on tax loopholes.

Seems kind of even too me.

Sadly, Americans who like entitlements and tax cuts far outnumber those who like balanced budgets.

Tax issues and balanced budgets don't matter to a lot on the left. They don't pay taxes (entitlement recipients) and have no idea what a real budget means.

Why is it that the states with the highest median incomes tend to vote Democrat, then?
